American boxers are over rated as good as Tyson was in his prime, Lennox Lewis was better, as an Irish boxer used to say dont believe the hype believe in the man.
This match up is a Lennox Lewis win.

Lennox fought very cautiously against an old fat 15 years past his prime Tyson. And it took him 8 to do it
I cant see him doing it any quicker to a younger Tyson.
I say Tyson takes this on points with Lennox behind on the scorecards due to Tysons aggression. If Lennox tries to brawl, hes going to sleep.
I dont think Lennox chin was as bad as people say, but still you have to keep in mind, he was taken out by one punch and with Tyson (Especially a prime Tyson) one punch is all it would take because if Tyson smells blood, noway is Lennox getting off the hook.

I see a Tyson Vs Mtch Green/Bone Hugger Type stinky fight with Lennox holding on for dear life and Tyson building points for aggression

Exactly! The moment Lewis opens up is the moment he gets in trouble.

I give a duck... Lewis who beat "Ruddock, Tucker, Bruno and Brown" beats Tyson who beat "Smith, Thomas, Tucker, Biggs, Holmes, Tubbs and Spinks."

Lewis is the greater ATG without a doubt.......

    P.S.

Lewis proved longevity, while Tyson did not...

    Lewis by late KO

Lewis will stay out of trouble behind the jab and Tyson will not be able to get inside and if he does Lewis ties him up and leans on him

All of this will make Tyson work extra hard and tire even more

Tyson had stamina issues and Lewis would use range and lean on him inside and cause him to tire

then later on an uppercut would probably end it

Lewis by late KO or decision. Tyson had trouble against big strong fighters with good jabs, I don't see him KOing Lewis when he couldn't KO Tillis, Douglas, Green, and other fighters like that. Big guys who weren't afraid of him and who didn't let him get inside and dominate there.

All Lewis proved was longevity, he didnt prove he was better at their respective peaks. Depends how you want to define longevity too. Does having a similar amount of fights in a longer period time count for more?

Buster Douglas seemed to do the same thing no problem

Lewis has a real chance but I go with Tyson here. Pretty significent speed edge here and I don't think Lewis has quite the stylistic advantage others tend to believe he has.

He'd need to be at his best though.

IMHO I think the Tyson from the Holyfield fights would have a decent chance to stop Lewis early

Lewis stays on the outside and boxes his way to a 12 round decision. This may not be the most exciting fight ever. There is always the chance that Tyson can get inside and end things in an instant. However Lewis is a smart fighter and is going to do everything he can to keep that from hapening.
