Lee vs Duddy March 12th

I think Lee's gonna win the decison here, cant see him stopping Duddy. But Lee would be best advised to stay away from Martinez, he'd get completely outclassed by him. A fight with a past best Duddy(who wasnt that good to begin with) does not appropriately prepare you for a fight against the best fighter in the division. Getting fights vs opponents like Rubio would set him up nicely to fight guys he can actually beat like Sturm and Sylvester(that's assuming he can actually beat someone like Rubio, which we're yet to see).

Oh by the way, Lee is not a top 15 fighter, no way. Even if the division is looking a little weak.

 

lee will take duddy alright, don't know about him being top 15 although he's there or there abouts

he's better then barker, while barker is a nice technical boxer he doesn't have anything special & lacks pop, lee has a bit more about him, ratings wise compare their last common opponent, baring near disastrous 10th round lee handled him much better - mr lee has t sort his stamina issues to go anywhere

 

I dont see the point in taking a Martinez fight this early. I see where you're coming from but I dont know why he would take the fight this early, there's no need. If he beats Duddy that's probably his best win, that wont prepare him for Martinez. He's still young and I'm sure he could get fights on other HBO undercards vs the likes of Rubio, David Lopez or even Ishe Smith, he'd still pick up decent paydays and be more adequately prepared for a world title.

 

So he loses to Martinez in July 2011 and decides to go back in time to choose an easier fight and beats Sebastian Sylvester eh Rob?:think That sounds like a great idea.

 

Well, to be honest, if he is to lose to them he has no business fighting for a world title. I think he could definitely make an improvement, particularly against Smith. He's a fighter with 'gatekeeper' status that has the style to make a difficult fight for Lee and will give us a look into Lee's ability to make adjustments, which looks non-existant.

 

I see Lee winning hurting Duddy once or twice along the way and winning a competitive decision. This is a slight step up for Lee but at least its a start and hopefully he can begin to fight world class fighters from now on instead of just staying active against journeymen.

Well, for his sake he better of learned something from the Vera fight because if he hasnt and just assumes Vera got lucky he's really going to end up going nowhere. I'm sure Vera wouldnt be so extreme in his demands at this stage, he's just looking for a good fight at the moment.

 

I can't understand how anybody is calling this as a Lee win by way of KO.

Have you seen Duddy fight and the punishment he has taken over the years. There is pretty much no chance Duddy is getting knocked out.


This is a closer fight than people here are saying. Lee will need to be a lot better than his recent efforts. Duddy is not going to role over in the biggest Irish fight in years.
