Couldn't see it. Lee gets hardly any cover same for duddy over here. 30,000 would be a dream. Might sell the 02 if promoted right. Duddy could bring a crowd from Derry and Lee from Limerick but even at that it would need more cover than what the Dunne fights got imo to sell out.

I find it strange that they moved the event from New York, it would have made far more sense to have it at the MSG than at the MGM Foxwoods in the middle of nowhere. Especially seing as it is on St Patrick's Day and you two big name Irish lads going at it.

I think that the promoters wanted a venue licensing fee, once again a promoter showing a very short sighted attitude shocking. I'm sure it will have a great atmosphere with the 2-3,000 people there :verysad

An arse-licker am I? Explain how. Is it because I backed him up on something that was true? One of you(if not both) did make those claims, and fairly recently. Get over yourself.

the casino probably paid more than they would make at MSG in the ballrooms. and the casino is probably bankings on it being a money spinner that weekend having two irish lads fighting.

lee duddy would defo come close to sellin out the o2 especially if euro title was on line
there probably two of the best known in ireland to the casual fan and i know for a fact that my mates that hardly if ever go to fights would defo head down the o2 for this if it was happenin so i think kits you thats talkin out your arse mate regardin that ....
lee barker would come nowhere near sellin out thomand park with 30000 people that is ridiculas

You backed him up on something that wasnt true - that is why you are an arse licker!

If BBB said that has nothing to do with me, even if you were so quick to defend him.

I'll tell you what, you've only been around here five minutes so it shouldnt be too hard to find the post, if you find it I wont post here for a month - if you cant you and Palmer can **** off for a month. Deal?

It didnt sell out, not at all. I was there in the €90 seats and there was plenty empty seats in behind me. In fact, there wasn't even many people in the seats around us. And when you consider Dunne was one of the most well known sportsmen in the country, coming off one of the biggest moments of the year in Ireland, and couldn't sell it out, I very much doubt Lee-Duddy would come close. And I would consider Casey much more well known to the casual fan than Duddy. What with the Hyland fight and so many people interested by his family life, he's more popular than someone who hasnt even fought in the country in a long time.

It must have been Big Hairy Balls but one off you two 99% told me Lee could do 30,000 for the European title fight in Limerick Catle or somewhere like that. I will find it when I have more time.

It was when we were arguing over where a Lee vs Barker fight should take place and I said London because Barker is a big ticket seller and you said Lee sells more even though his biggest crowd in Ireland was 3000 when headlining. Then Big Hairy Balls told me it would probably do 30,000 in Limerick castle and that it would sell the 02 in Dublin.

Yeah I know the maths but Boxing in the States badly needs to get back into the big cities and this is the sort of event that would be perfect.

HBO will be paying more then enough to cover the purses so why not bite their tongue and lose a bit of money on that side of the promotion, it's not as if that is the difference between making a profit and making a loss.

And in the long term a good promotion in New York would grow the marketability of the fighters involved because New York is a very big and powerful city, how big is the local market around the Foxwoods Casino?

Why should I? I know for a fact one of you said it, I never accused you solely over it. I shouldn't have to go searching through posts just to prove a point to you. I dont consider saying something was true arse-licking, and it was more your dick-headed reaction that fueled my response.
