JM, that's not fair. I still didn't have time to put my mouthpiece in !
But you are right Fritzie Zivic, lost about 64 times, but still became champion ,and a HOFamer. I saw him one time when he was 32 years old,
upset the young"Joe Louis", Billy Arnold ,who was flattening every one he met...Ole' Fritzie was a rough cutie pie that night in 1945, MSG.:good

Just look at his record though. He fought everyone, really everyone, and quite often more than once. DLH would be today´s Fritzie I think.

    Congratulations!

I just got back from running and ring announcing the opening day of the New Jersey Amateur State Championships. One person I introduced and talked to was James Scott, the fighter who fought out of Rahway prison.

Whatever happened to Scott? Think his last fight was against Qawi, then never heard of him again. Didnt have many fights did he?

After his loss to Qawi they stopped having pro bouts at Rahway prison. He told me that he boxed Rubin "Hurricane" Carter in prison and was the only one to go 3 rounds with him.

Scott has been out for a couple now.

Johnny Dundee, lost about 29 "official" decisions, and was stopped only twice in a 335 bout career...Fritzie Zivic is not to be compared to the great featherweight Johnny Dundee...Dundee was a tireless ,rugged ,ballof speed who Nat vFleischer and others rated over Willie Pep...He was a small Harry
Greb, and much more rugged than the Will of the Wisp, it was said...
