I blame Mosley for going to TR, if he only stayed at GBP like Jmm then uncle Bob could have chosen Berto.

Edit: ..and Pac would still be criticized

Pac/Arum were not in exclusive negotiations with JMM where they're obligated to make a counteroffer.

Arum asked and received proposals from 3 camps to take to Pacquiao where they would decide who to fight next. Shane's offer seems to make the most sense to them.

Top Rank wouldn't let it happen if he had asked for 20 million, 7 million, or 3.5 million. You don't hear about a Top Rank counter offer, though. I wonder why?

people are banking their case for a 3rd jmm fight based on the first 2 close fights. but this is an entirely different scenario. pac has improved to a degree, has grown bigger and stronger. jmm may still bother pac but he loses anyway. if they fight, it should be at 140 to be more competitive. however, team pac wants to keep fighting at 147 probably to make him more comfortable at the weight should the fight against floyd push through so as not to lose any momentum.

at ever possible scenario, esb will cry foul. the only way jmm fight happens is if he is willing to move up to 147 at this point. but so far all we know from him is that he sucks at 147.

So you wanna talk about logic? Then explain to me the Margarito/Pac situation. Elaborate on why Marg deserved $6 million when he wasn't even close to being the best Mexican fighter even before he was demolished by Pac. Also tell me why Pac was easily granted a title shot at 154 with no prerequisites whereas according to Arum JMM had to prove himself at 147 in order to get a chance to fight Pac.

Arum does not want to do business with GBP and vice versa. These goons need to put their personal differences aside and realize they are all in the same family of Boxing. Money aside, if things were based on a tournament Marquez would be right there in the mix to get a shot at Pac when we consider what JMM has accomplished in recent times. There is enough gold to go around for both GBP and TR. Let JMM have his shot.

Nobody really thought Barrera had much of a chance at beating Pac when they had their rematch 4 yrs after their first meeting. Yet nobody argued. Carry out the tradition and let JMM and Pac complete their trilogy. Hope it happens near the end of '11 if Pac doesn't fight Berto or Mayweather.

juan Manuel Maequez agreed to fight at 147. He comes into the ring in the low 140 s. arum and roach made every excuse in the book not to take the fight. They chose a shot Shane Mosley over Juan Manuel. they say pac would blow Marquez qway! If so make the fight! They give a washed up margarito and Mosley the same and more . When is the last time manny fought a guy coming off of a good string of victories ? Not losse and draws with sub-par opponants ? Not Diaz, Clottey ,Margarito or Mosley. Probably marquez. keep cherry picking team pac. Sooner or later even the pac-tards will see the light!

i would have preferred for pac to fight jmm but only at 140 where both can make the weight comfortably. enough with this because he agreed to the weight ****. we know that if pac wins over jmm at 147, he will be **** on here on esb. whatever he does, he will be **** on really. at 147, do you think jmm is more of a threat to pac than shane? i don't think so. at 140 yes, that would be a good fight.

also, what's with this if pac would blow jmm away then make the fight? floyd should blow pac away then why not ask him to do the same? i think arum sucks and he is to be blamed for all this. still, at 147, jmm sucks so there is no point in that fight unless it is at 140.

Quite easy. Margarito was a Top Rank fighter in an in-house fight where Arum would be getting a cut of both fighters purses, 27% or whatever the *****s like to claim is his cut. Jerry Jones let Arum host the fight for free and probably payed him a garauntee in millions (like he did for the Clottey fight) to stage it in Texas. Arum could afford to be a little more generous in his fighters purses.

Whether you think Margarito deserved it or not (I personally don't think he did too), and regardless of whether Marquez is the better fighter, Marquez is still not a bigger draw than Margarito.

He is asking for a few more million than Margo got. There was no way in the world he was going to get that, and he can't justify it in any way other than by delusion.

As for Barrera II, at the time it was the most lucrative fight available. I remember on here there was a big push for the idea Barrera could make the fight competitive or actually avenge his loss, so there was still alot of interest in it. MAB got a $2.5-3 million purse, and he was just as big a PPV draw as Pac back then. Nothing near the ridiculous $8.5-10 million purse Marquez is chasing.

When you're the one begging and desperate for a fight, a fight that you think you can win and will cash in on it eventually, your first offer is obviously favorable of being honored, not to bluff someone who has the upper hand. Chances are they'll call your bluff, then what.

Marquez made the exactly the same mistake before Pac and Margo fight, they offered Arum 50/50 plus drug test ala l'i' floyd, look where it lead to, Arum didn't even consider to counter offer.

I don't think JMM wants the fight for him to win, he just want a good retirement payday knowing he'll get destroy this time considering what they are now.
