Mayweather Vs. The Margarito And Clottey That Pacquiao Fought?

I think Mayweather beats him, but how? I dont think he stops him, but I do think he wins a decision with similar scores. It would have been like the Baldomir fight imo. I dont think Tonys face would be as

up as it was against Manny. Pacquiao-Margarito was an exciting one sided fight, would Mayweather-Margarito have been a boring one sided fight?

As for the Clottey fight, I think it would have been a competitive fight.Mayweather no longer throws combinations like he used too and sometimes fights in spots, so I think Clottey would be able to deal with his speed a little better and not be overwhelmed. Even in the Pac fight, Clottey threw some very good, effective punches when he chose to let his hands go. I think he would open up more against Floyd, but ultimately lose a 117-111 type decision. I think it would be a more entertaining fight though.

 

styleistically, Margarito's style is tailor-made for Mayweather's counter-punching style, Margo would be KO/TKOed by the 9th or 10th round :deal

look at the Corrales fight, Margo and Diego have the same style almost, except Chico was like 3 times faster than Margarito, and look what happened in this fight

so although people say Mayweather ducked Margarito, this is a match that would've been extremly bad for the Tijuana Tornado :hi:

Clotteys defense is not better than Floyds.

Floyd has a reactive defense, Clottey an inactive. Hell, Winky Wright portrayed the turtle-shell best in the last few years, he actually DID SOMETHING out of the turtle shell.

I believe Margo will give Floyd problems. He relentlessly pursued Pacquiao eating his shots, he'll handle Floyd's shots better. Margo will not gas out like Mosley. The safe call is Mayweather UD but somehow I feel Margo will be able to land a heavy punch that will turn the fight in his favor. Too bad we'll never know.

 

Margarito is slow, I agree with that.

Mosley hits harder than Mayweather, and he went all out that night to get the KO. Pacquiao hits harder than Mayweather, has a higher output than Mayweather...Margarito took more punishment off of Pacquiao in that bout than Mayweather would deal out. The bout would be about styles, which is why Mayweather would pick up a wide UD.

I'm a Mayweather fan, but he doesn't get the KO or TKO.
