Just read over at the talk of boxing that Brewster has retired and sadly seems to be blind in his left eye. I hope and pray that Brewster's sight is restored in the near future and that he has a restful, successful retirement. He was a true warrior in the ring.:bbb

Glad that he retired, he should have retired years ago. Will always remember him as a humble warrior with a big punch. Hope hes able to just enjoy his retirement.

A class act and a true warrior in the ring. I hope his sight is restored and he has a great retirement. He deserves it.

Sad to hear this. Obviously one of the reasons he took such beatings in his last several fights.

    Happy retirement.

Quality fighter at his best. He never should have been allowed to fight the Klitschko rematch in Germany as it was well documented how bad his eye was.

I hope he made enough money from his career to live out a comfortable life.

His fight with Ettiene was a good one.

My favorite heavyweight in recent times.

Oh man, that is heart breaking news. I hoped he'd get out with his health secured, he's probably taken some neurological damage aswell. :-(

Lamon was one of my personal favorites. I remember back in april of 04, when my brother and a few friends were watching this fight. I made the bold prediction that Wlad would be knocked out, everyone of course laughed at me when I said it. When Wlad started to melt at seams when the going got tough, it was excitement at it's best. Never did I feel so good for another man's victory. It was truly inspiring for me. Here you had one man with all the skills and talent, but lacked mental strength. The other man physically less, but mentally tough.

I enjoyed watching Lamon in so many fights. Golota, Wlad, Lyakhovich, Meehan, Krasniqi etc... The guy always gave you fight, and showed a ton of heart and toughness along the way. So I thank you Lamon for all the memories and beating Wlads ass back in 04.
