Who else feels '11 Adamek would be tuff as nails for '53 Marciano? I sure as hell do.

Seriously... I see Peter and Arreola doing well in the mix of "Weaver, Dokes, Page, Tubbs, Smith, Spoon, Berbick, Tucker, Douglas, Bey & Coetzee."

    MR.BILL:yep:patsch:shock:

My aging old man is a so-so follower of boxing; he's likes heavyweights..... Back in 1986 when Tony Tubbs at 244 pounds with love handles defended and lost his WBA title to Tim Spoon who was 227 pounds down in Atlanta, my old man fell out of his rocker when he saw Tubbs take off his robe and look like a fat slob on HBO...... I'll never forget the look of disgust on my dad's face.....

Here in early 2011, I'm sold on Tom Adamek, however, he ain't gonna beat either "K" brother this year.... A meeting with Haye would be a better choice / chance at obtaining a world title above 200 pounds... Plus, Adamek would still earn damn good $$$ for his effort....

The reason the classic section moves slower is because it's made up of fewer posters who (mostly) know what they're talking about considering their knowledge for decades gone by; whereas the general section contains a considerable amount of people who'se only success in life was not being aborted by their mothers 15 years ago.

Marciano wipes the floor with Adamek.

Whatever happened with those allegations of steroid use against Adamek?

he went life and death with a complete shot, slow unranked michael grant and his face was busted to pieces when it was over....
while ademek is very good for his size, his opponents while "LIVE" they are ultimately ****...what is arreolas claim to fame? 42 year old golota? vinnie maddalone? Jason Estrada?
his best opponent is a guy who was a contender in the 90s.....the others have never had one accomplishment as a pro worth talking about....
MR Bill has a new man crush not named Vitali

arreola never won a world title and lost every damn round of his only chance....all those guys you mentioned would put his fat ass out of his misery....
while peter has won a world title...he did so from the worst champion in history...Mascaev...while Buster beat one of the best ever....Peter pretty much sucks too...looks good koing bums...but loses every round to wlad in the rematch....peter was very promising and dangerous for about 18 months.....then he goes the distance with a fat middleweight 2 times....again..Peter would get OWNED by the above....

Marciano would've beat the tar out of Adamek, as Would Walcott and Charles.

Marciano don't have the skills or the ring IQ to hang with Adamek, while Adamek is just as tough. Go revisit Adamek's CW fights to see what happens to people Adamek's size. Poeple still don't understand the full extent of Adamek's toughness, his skill set and will to win in the ring. It's quite easy to lionize old timers and think grass is greener on the other side.

Exactly. Adamek might hang in there for a while, but he'd lose to all three.

Adamek is bigger, stronger, faster, and more skilled than Marciano plus he has a fantastic Chin. He beats Marcianos over rated ass and the nostalgic half wits on this forum and all over the world jump out the window.

That is why I'm rarely here in the general section. I too, noticed too many kiddies who blab too much about "Packy, Mosley & Mayrunner" as if that was all boxing ever offered... Still, I just ignore some of that garbage and press my attack....

If Marciano were to beat Adamek it would need to be by KO, cuz Adamek has better boxing ability than Marciano ever owned...

I give credit to Adamek in going and winning a 12 rounder over a spirited Grant last Summer... Grant was 261 massive pounds of muscle and is 6' 7" tall for Amon Ra's sake... Grant also has a nice looking record on paper, too.... Just cuz Grant was iced by the great Lewis doesn't mean Grant is a *****... Their is no shame getting iced by Lewis...

Grant's 2001 loss to McCline was a fluke injury...

Dom Guinn was a hot prospect in 2003 when he waxed a bored Grant...

Point is, Adamek beat a good Grant in 2010...:bbb

    Bert Cooper would starch Adamek.
