Have you seen the book Liverpool Boxing Venues by Ray Physick Al? Plenty of stuff in it that you should enjoy.

bit off subject mate but in the two books mersey fighters (written by local liverpool author )the fighters talk alot about the stadiun which i found a great read as it was before my time if you havent already read them i reccomend them

I've got the second of those mersey fighters books, but cant get hold of the first. Does anyone have a copy that I could either buy off them if they're finished with it, or just lend to read? I'll pass it back, honest!

Does the first one have much in about Pat Dwyer? He's my Dad's cousin but I've never really met him, I just hear lots from my Dad and granddad about him.

no he's not in it strangely enough. I'm sure I read somewhere or someone told me once that they couldn't get hold of him or he didn't want to talk to them.

 

should be able to get it. My nephew just got a copy on his birthday in December. I'll try and find out where it came from.
