Manny is not in control numnuts. it doesn't matter what manny says. Murad Muhammad made it a point not to let Manny fight guys who have a real foundation in "the Sweet Science", which in 90% of all cases means a Black American fighter. nobody can tell me that this isn't in the back of Arums mind. so, before we test Floydie, let's try a 38year old guy who still has more skill than we would like and can very possibly KO Manny. But they also know that Shane has trouble in the later rounds, so this is a well calculated risk.
floyd has his own life and hasn't answered to any boxing community since 2006 so if you *******s need to validate Manny: find another way. Manny's not an issue for Floyd til fight nite, so deal with it. If Manny is so stupid that he can let dumbass *******s pump him so full of Bravado that he's turning down possible 50M paydays and not do anything about it except lie. he needs to find another way to validate his career.
