Emilienenko looses then decides to go all quiet and have a looooooooooong sabatical.

Brock Lesnar gets his ass handed to him after selling himself as this all mighty fighting machine then decides to look for a career elsewhere.

Two of the once regarded hottest HW fighters gone to ground. What is happening to MMA?

You're on a roll with these threads tonight.
Remind us when you last had a 220+ pound professional fighter throw punches at you?

  3. Dont you know that Fedor along with the best HW MMA fighters have penned their name into the Strikeforce tourney which should see them compete 3 times this year, and really 7 and a half months absence for Fedor really that long?

I think Fedor's was more down to his management than anything. They're the most ******ed in MMA today.

And Brock just doesn't have the heart. It's hard for a guy to realise there's someone better than you, especially when you're promoted as the baddest man on the planet, given everything to you on a silver platter and you're the bigger guy. Some guys don't recover, you can't really blame him for it to be honest. He's just not built that way.

Ah feckit no sooner do I make a post then it turns out Fedor is going active again; typical just my luck!

I do agree with Flash though Fedor's management do seem slow but it's just good to see him in the ring again.

    P.S. Love your avatar flash!!!

I think with Brock especially with an ego like his, to him its an embarassment that he lost. It doesnt matter that he lost to a great fighter, but to him somone who is use to being on top, then getting torched. Its a mental thing and if he can get over itm then he will be back, if not then his career as a legit contender or champion is done.

And for Fedor i honestly think he is just bored with fighting. He may be happy fighting once a yr or every other year against safe opponents. If he doesnt love it anymore and doesnt want to commit, why take a risk and fight a dangerous fighter. But the time has to come when he has to step up and i think the strike force tourney is a great place for it. He seems to be complaciant on how is career is going and doesnt seem to hungry anymore. Seems to have the mind set that he is the king and he will fight when he wants and it almost seems like he just expects to win. And i will say that confidence goes along way and scares opponents. Tyson did it for years until someone stood up to him. But Fedor is a great fighter and the only HWs that i think can challenge him are Overeem, barnett and Cain. I think his last loss was more of a fluke from over confidence and he got caught. I believe in a rematch he torches werdum, but what do i know. On any given day someone could get caught by a nobody!

Fedor is fighting Big Foot in the GP in a month and Brock starts filming TUF 13 in 10 days.

Fedor is part of the upcoming heavyweight tournament in Strikeforce.

Brock Lesnar is about to fight JDS... who is probably the best up and coming heavyweight in the world. Not exactly sure how that is looking for a career elsewhere.

I realize this is probably a troll thread, but MMA fighers lack of 'pride' compared to boxers is something I quite like. Theres no honor in being beaten into a vegetable.

  12. Summed up already.

Emelianenko only lost to werdum 6 monthes ago. Since then he has constantly promised big things in development and actually delivered. Even I had doubts. Fedor will make a comeback 7 monthes from his first real loss in Febuary.
