If I was Wlad I'd understand fully why he pulled out when Setanta went under, hell it would be moronic to hold that against him. I don't think Wlad does, I just think he plays up on it to create heat. As for choosing Valuev over Vitali sure I'd be pissed but once again looking at the big picture understand that Haye knew his chances hence Valuev and the fact no contract was actually signed.

Should have kept Chisora happy by putting him on the undercard.
Would have kept Warren/Chisora sweet plus it would have given him German exposure with the added bonus of exposure to the British public through SKY PPV. I'm sure this would have helped on the PPV front when Wlad-Chisora rolls around.

I don't have a problem with Wlad fighting Chisora first, but why is he waiting until April 30 to do it? Is his stomach injury that bad?

Why not offer dickhead Haye a fight later in July or August if he so concerned about there only being 9 weeks between April 30 and July 2?

Would Chisora really have the right to demand being paid to be on stand-by? He's already been given the opportunity of a lifetime by even being considered to challenge Wlad for the World title. I'm sure he would agree to be on stand-by, especially when there is a World Title opportunity on the line.

And even then, stick him on the undercard against a half decent opponent...if Haye pulls out, he gets his shot against Wlad. Either way Chisora is going to fight and get paid, either an experience bout, or a shot at the World Title.

Guarantee him a shot after Haye and I doubt it would cost Wlad $$$$$$$.

its alot of "if's. "ands" and "maybes".. all because Haye wants wlad to not fight before there fight.

Its a joke.... haye could demand that if wlad can make it, then Vitali must.... just like Adamek is asking for when sceduling a fight months away

Haye needs to remember.....where there is a will there is a way . he could have come up with something instead of walking away like a little kid who didnt want to share his toys in the park sand box

2 fights in 8-9 weeks is not as hard as it sounds... wlad has 6-7 week camp before chisora... recovers for 3 weeks then has a 5-6 week camp again... he would already be in shape so you wouldnt need all that time.... 4 weeks.. 3 weeks of sparing and then fight week

I dont see why Haye is so concerned... as long as wlad shows, he should have no worries... plus he could have demanded Vitali show if wlad couldnt ala Adameks deal

He should agree to a hefty fine if hes so confident , they like adding fines into their own contracts for others , why not , if he fails Haye gets paid and proves the concern was legit:good

Why has Wlad never once fought a title fight in that timeframe if its so easy ?

Where is the time for promotion, long promos make big ppv bucks (thats what they want right) look at haye harrison

its lucky to get an up and comer out that often, comon Chef

I can firmly say that Wlad would not fight that often and he will never fight that often as a champion

    we both know this

so whats really up with these guys :huh

I think the most logical assumption you can make from all this, especially now Wlad has said he didn't need a tune up, is that he wants to allow his RTL contract to run out before re-negotiating. If he negotiates after Haye, especially if he loses, he has no bargaining power. As long as that fight hasn't happened, he has RTL over a barrel.

Wlad vs Haye has been promoted for over 2 years. Let alone the big promotion that they already had for so long in 2009 before Haye pulled out. On top of that... Wladimir fighting Chisora (UK's #2 Heavyweight and British Heavyweight Champion) is great promotion for an upcoming fight with David Haye.

    Promotion is clearly a non-issue.

Vitali fought that close together a year and a half ago. So, why is Wlad doing it so impossible? Wlad did it earlier in his career. It isn't like Vitali is known for fighting that often...he was inactive for 4 years. Once you get TV deals, you can usually only fight as often as your deal allows you, with their availability. Wlad was given April 30th and July 2nd as dates that he could fight on.... and he was willing to use them both. Most normal boxing fans are happy about having a Champ that wants to be that active. Only on the internet do you find people who would complain about something like that.

Thats not how it works and you clearly dont know the UK market,

The PPV promotions are so long to get the general football fans to buy the PPVs , they are not advertising to the small amount of boxing fans that kno to pick it up free on german sat in the UK anyway:yep or just stream it

they are hitting the casuals that watch sky sports, these guys dont know theres a Chisora and if they know of Klitschko they certainly dont know that theres 2 of them

they are not boxing fans they dont watch wlad and hayes back and forth youtube videos

Wlad will never fight a title fight that close not now not before he retires

    we both know this :yep

If it would take another full 6 months to once again re-promote this fight that has already gone through the entire promotional stage to get those fans interested.... then it clearly isn't a big fight in the UK.

It has ALREADY gone through the promotion in 2009 to get in touch with the casual fans. Not only that, but like I said... Wlad fighting Chisora and that being on SKY is a HUGE promotional boost in which to plug Klitschko vs Haye 2 months later... and also to give millions of fans in the UK a chance to see Wladimir Klitschko.... since I guess according to you, UK must have extremely horrible fans who have been sleeping under a rock for years. Especially considering David Haye has been going on and on in the media about this fight since 2008. Haye must really not be a big deal in the UK if people still don't know.

David Haye clearly isn't a big deal in the UK if it takes 6 months to promote his fights to the public for people to start taking notice. Thank god the fight wasn't taking place in England.

Of course it is. Look at all Mayweather's, De La Hoya's, Pacquiao's etc., super fights in recent history. All would have been big but they all still received massive promotion. I was reading an old Ring magazine from just after Hatton beat Castillo and they talked about a Mayweather fight. That had more intrigue than Haye/Wlad and yet it still received massive international promotion.

Besides Europe, in America, this fight isn't big at all. HBO would want it to be hyped.
