Steward recently said that Macklin was on their radar and would be interested in him after Duddy if they can't a fight with Martinez.

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=6442&cat=boxer lads never heard of this fella faught morales for the wbc super bantamweight title read about him dunnes book ...good book ..interestin insight into his career
unless Freddie Roach invites Duddy into the wildcard gym, i can't see him lasting 10 rounds with Lee. I would predict a stoppage (cuts)...
John Lowey was a top class amateur he had some great battles for the senior crown with Roy Nash cant remember which club he was from exactly but he was a nordie.I think he had some irregularities in a scan that stopped him boxing over here but he really is a forgotten man of Irsh boxing as said boxed Morales for the title and very few kniow about him.
Apparently Mick Hennessy got the rights for Macklin v Barker: http://www.boxingnews24.com/2011/01/macklin-barker-ready-to-rumble/
Great news, now any chance of moving Lee v Duddy to the undercard and take it out of that indian casino in the middle of nowhere!
This is hardly Mickey Doherty- aka "Red Mick" is it? Saw him getting sparked by some foreigner in the second round of his debut in the Clanree about 4 years ago. I think he was 38 then? Surely it couldn't be the same guy :huh Eamonn Magee was top of the bill- was the last fight he ever won, and it was also McCloskey's first pro fight on Irish soil if I remember correctly.
