I find it curious that Klitschko fans still bring up 2009. If RTL had gone bust, do you REALLY think Wlad would have gone ahead and fought for nothing? These guys are called PROFESSIONAL boxers for good reason. Wlad just trumped that anyway by choosing to fight a no-mark, and frankly, I hope Chisora knocks him the **** out and Vitali loses to Adamek, then we could actually have champions that WANT to fight each other. I am a fan of Haye, but I'm the first to admit he's not really done much at HW except to show up exactly how bad a state the whole division is in.

****ing shameful to think that the likes of Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis etc once occupied the belts these clowns carry (and yes, that includes Haye).

First, your talking in useless hyptotheticals. Wlad doesn't rely on PPV for income unlike Haye, he doesn't have to con the public into buying his fights. His fights are shown in over 120 countries, and viewers don't pay extra for it....the way it should be!

But for the sake of your argument, I'm believe that if the roles were reversed, Wlad had stalked Haye and made childish t-shirts of his family members and was a nobody at HW and had no belt, and then had the chance to fight for 2 HW belts and be recognized as THE MAN, that opportunity would outweigh RTL going bust and resulting in reduced income for that one fight. He'd make up for it in the fights afterwards.

Yes, they are PROFESSIONAL fighters. Why should Wlad sit around for 9+ months doing nothing and earning nothing waiting on Haye, who is content fighting "no-marks" and over the hill fighters on 7+ months rest?

If you were paying attention your question is answered very easily.

Wladimir AGREED TO FIGHT HAYE! He is also going to fight in April. It is HAYE who called off the fight.

    Is that hard to understand?

Why did Wlad put roadblock after roadblock and then finally chose to fight Chicobum, instead of Haye

    Roadblock after roadblock?

Yeah... like choosing his own gloves, coming out second like the true champ always does... wow... David Haye really bent over backwards. Oh yeah... and fighting in Germany, just like DAVID HAYE demanded last time, because Haye wasn't able to deliver a venue in England. So... once again... big deal.

Are you guys really this stupid? Are you that dumb that you don't understand that you can fight 2 guys, and not choose one over the other? Wlad would be fighting Haye July 2nd whether he fights Chisora or not. Haye just once again found the easy way out... and you dumb ****s will follow right behind him like you always do. Which is why he does it. I have never seen a group of fans so easy to manipulate in my entire life.

Haye came out almost 3 years ago, promising the world that he was going to immediately fight Wladimir Klitschko... then it was A Klitschko... then he kept backing out of talks... then he accepts a fight... Wlad sits and waits for him... Haye pulls out at the last minute, fakes an injury... and you morons support him.... then he goes on fighting more nobodies... agrees to fight Vitali... backs out again.... now here we are again in a situation where David Haye is trying to procastinate a possible fight with Wlad, by telling Wlad has to stay inactive for another 6 months in order for Haye to agree to fight him. Wlad agrees to fight Haye on July 2nd... Haye once again calls off the fight. Yet... once again you dumb asses buy into his bull**** even though you know it's complete nonsense. You are hopeless.

Setanta wasnt PPV so Haye was in a similar situation as Waldo is now.

Are you sure about that? I was pretty sure it was PPV??

I don't see it as Wlad being in the same situation as Haye was at all. Wlad still is THE MAN while Haye is still considered unproven even haven cherry picked his paper belt. Wlad still has the backing of RTL which isn't in danger or slipping out from under his feet. And RTL hasn't been so restrictive in dates for a potential fight like Sky has been. Also, yet again, Klitschko came up with the venue since David couldn't produce anything.

Haye could not agree to the fight after Chisora was scheduled, because he had to take care of his mandatory at that point, somewhere around May. This put the July date in total jeapordy. Why didn't Wladimir openly say he wanted a tuneup bout before the negotiations started? When we were hearing all the noise that the discussions were proceeding well, there was ZERO mention of Chisora's name.

100% not PPV. i think haye ws due to get 3 million for that. I dont blame him at all for not wanting to fight - you can literally die in there. as for your comments about wlad would have fought if he made t shirts - dont be childish - I would say he would be an idiot for taking a fight for nothing.

I think its clear at this point that both guys are comfortable avoiding each other - fighting no marks for our money.

Seriously, this and the Mayweather- Pac thing makes me despair for the future in the sport

We are in the absurd position where the USA market (the MOST important market) doesnt know or care about the heavyweight division. Vitali was on the cusp of establishing himself on HBO and with general fans before all his injury problems.

We need a heavyweight champ who knocks people out and is exciting and can take a punch - Wlads career imo will forever be tarnished by the manner of his 3 losses - Haye is a paper champ who charges £15 to watch him assualt no chancers.:verysad

I wish Wlad and haye would go away and that the 2003 version of VItali would use a time machine...if only!

I can agree with some of your points, and thanks for the Setanta clarification if that's in fact correct.

I wouldn't call 3 mil fighting for nothing. There have been HW champs in recent years that didn't earn more than 1 mil for a fight (Byrd, Valuev, Chagaev, some others). So for what Haye was going to get, as an unproven HW with no belt and a win over a shot Monte Barrett, it was not so terrible, even if it was without Setantas backing. It's a chance many would dream of, becoming the real HW champion. Instead Haye chose another path.

I don't think my comments about the t-shirts are childish at all. If you're going to make defamatory remarks and wear t-shirts of a dismembered opponent, you should have the balls to get in the ring and back it up. Haye hasn't done so.

We have a champ who KO's people and can take a punch well, Vitali. I don't think Wlad's 3 losses should tarnish him, nearly everyone loses. Should Ali's career be considered tarnished because he lost to Holmes and Berbeck at the end of his career, where Wlad lost earlier in his career, but has gone on to be completely dominant and has perfected his skill to a point he doesn't get hit with huge shots and he knows better than unload everything in the first 4 rounds?

I'd respectfully disagree that USA is the most important market, Europe is equally important and we have some really good shows here, furthermore the quality and qauntity of cards is spreading and the sport is growing in E.European countries. Both markets have their niche and appeal for different reasons.

This fight is easy to make.

Haye picks up a pen. Haye signs. Haye fights on July 2nd. It's the easiest thing in the world.

However, avoiding it is even easier, especially when your fans will suck your balls no matter how badly you **** on them.

    Pick up the pen, ******.

When you look past the insults of this post, there is a lot of truth to what's said here. People tend to forget that Haye hasn't achieved anything as a heavyweight, other than making a name off the Klitschkos. So Haye giving into Wladimir's demands (50/50, venue etc) is the least he should be doing.

Honestly Wlad fans just don't understand what Wlad fighting Chisora does to the Haye fight they just keep saying "sign the contract".

    Thick as ****.
