I'm not saying Peterson's an easy fight. I'm saying Khan probably thinks it is & that he's much better than LP.
The business side of boxing is the way it is & I understand that, but don't agree with it. Nobodies gonna pay to watch Khan shadow box so Khan needs the opponent as much as they need him. I honestly think all fights should be a 50/50 split.

I disagree only big evenly matched fights should be 50-50 like pac may or haye vs wlad. If khan fights bradley for example that should be 50/50.
If a champ fights a contender it should be 60-40 and 80-20 vs a tune up bum if you rebound form a loss or something.
Khan vs peterson should be 60-40

That's a good point. All depends on how well the sales go, I guess.

Yep. We'll see in the next few days or so. It's not a match-up that really excites me from an Entertainment perspective but I do agree that Peterson does have pretty solid fundamentals and is a genuinely solid test for Khan.

A better version of Malignaggi with some decent pop possibly.

I think the Maidana fight, in the end, went to a purse bid. Maidana got 45%. I could be wrong, though. Laz might be able to confirm.

Maidana was paid $550,000 and if he won, he would recieve another $100,000.

    :deal

Would be massive in england and as khan wants to fight mayweather pac etc will be good to fight at that weight to test the waters.

Plus if he did lose he would keep his title.

I understand what you're trying to say, but if guys like Prescott, Murray or McCloskey are out there and willing to fight for a lot less Money, Khan will go for them (Well, I think he would, despite him saying he wouldn't).

Peterson probably cant expect to make more than $200,000 then.

Im not surprised he is asking for more.

Thats one way to look at it.
The way I see it tho is say a prime RJJ is fighting some bum it doesn't seem fair to me that RJJ gets paid 10x more than the bum when RJJ has a really easy night & this bum has the fight of his life & gets the **** beat out of him.
Also if they're fighting a good contender (Khan-Peterson) I think the contender deserves a decent share because they're a very important part of the fight. They're the ones that make it competitive. Nobody wants to see a mismatch. 60/40 like you said sounds fair. I may be wrong but I doubt Peterson is asking 4 more than that.

I know what you mean. All this really depends on exactly how much Peterson's demanding. Wether its a reasonable request or not.
Petrson deserves more than Prescott, Murray etc IMO.
