You can imagine the old days when people used the radio as a medium. Why cant HBO emulate this? Fantastic!

It's hard listening to this, oddly. I'm a Hatton fan and that was a vivid reminder of the night. Damn.

Great commentary though. The BBC are excellent for this.

    Its all good though...
i just wanted it to last longer with hatton getting some good digs in..
Im not even a big hatton fan..just a huge British Boxing fan of course..

Excellent radio announcing! Reminded me of the late great TV/radio play by play announcer for the LA Lakers Chick Hearn. I listened to many Laker home games on the radio back in the early 80s. Kind of like reading a great book as opposed to watching the movie version.

I have to say in some ways the Brits are very unbiased because they called the fight the way it went, no gassing up Hatton in any way. Just the damn passion. If you only heard this, youve pretty much seen the fight.

I grew up listening to Mets games on radio w/ Bob Murphy. Same thing with the Islanders since Ice Hockey wasnt shown. My best moment came in 1987 when Pat LaFontaine scored the goal in the 4th overtime at 3:AM in the morning against the Capitals

This is a great listen! I've watched the fight so many times, I can visualize the actual action without actually seeing the action...I almost know exactly what the commentator is going to say next...that's how many times I have watched that fight.

They were a bit biased on SKY...they were over zealous whenever Hatton did do something (which I think was only once, in the second round) and you could clearly hear the disappointment in their voices when he got KO'd.
