Michael Schiavello, Good Night Irene

Quality commentator, some quality sparkings on that HL vid too.

Reems muay thai is unbelievable. I looked out for him in Pattaya but he hadn't arrived yet by the looks of things (and he'd stick out like a sore thumb over there) and had to make do with a quick chat with Mikkel Kessler.

 

I think Schiavello is good but guys like bas, couture, and frank trigg are better for MMA commentary.

Schiavello is a good color commentator with very good knowledge about kickboxing as well as MMA.

 

Trigg? :blood

The Voice carries Frank when they team up.

I'm not a Trigg hater, either.

 

Schiavello has always been the main commentator when I'v heard him, thats why he's so rare. There are a few good colour guys in MMA but Goldberg and Mauro are still lets be honiest goofs, good speaking voices but very one note and prone to making repeated errors and misjudging fights. Schiavello on the other hand is a guy with the talent to call mainstream sports who's chosen to stick with K1/MMA and actually learn the game.

Him matched up with Trigg worked pretty well for me, Frank does actually dam good knowledge of the sport but has always been held back by coming across as too negative/arrogant(whether he actually is or not), Schiavello keeps him in line where as someone like Mauro just followed his line.

Frank trigg is better as far as I am concerned.

Schiavello is noisier, he is a color comentator, and is supposed to create excitement, but someone like trigg has more technical knowledge = better IMO.

 

No, that wasn't my meaning. Schiavello actually comes across as more intelligent and makes more insightful comments when the two are calling fights together. Just because Trigg is himself a fighter doesn't make him the more insightful analyst.

 

Aw come one Scurla, making jokes like that doesn't make the man racist. ****, if I'm not mistaken I seen a post of yours the other day talking about 'sinbad mother****ers' in reference to asians which is worse than anything Schiavello comes out with (it was funny as **** by the way), does that make you racist?

 

but he is a more insightful analyst IMO.

I used to love the pride fc show on fsn, after each fight he used to break down mistakes the fighter who lost made and showed how the winner got the victory with good fight analysis.

He has more insight.
