Read this thread again, and tell me where I said anywhere that the jab was not very important.

You see man, now that you have stopped being angry that I don't have the exact same likes and tastes as yourself, you have made some really interesting posts there. :good

Yeah, Hagler-Sibson is one of my favourites as well, can't believe I didn't think to mention it in my opening post. Hagler uses that double and triple jab like a ****ing rifle!

I agree. Sibson was a very, very good fighter, but he simply ran into one of the most complete fighters in boxing history. An underrated win and a truly amazing performance from the Marvelous one.

Winky vs Tito is possibly the best use of a jab over 12 rounds.

I actually felt sorry for tito by the end... he couldnt do anything.

It has to be wlad, he beats guy with only his jab, we all have seen him do it plenty of times. Its says a lot about the opposition but also his jab is just great. Look at the chambers fight, eddie is outmatched and 98% of what wlad throws is the jab and he wins every round with it but its painfully boring to see. Its like a cat that can kill a mouse every second if he wants to yet decides not to and keeps tapping him very carefull afraid he might do something.
Even steward freaked out, let your ****ing hands go! dont let this be another ibragimov.
It nowadays get overlooked because he knocked him out cold in the final seconds but that fight was a jabfest for wladimir.

:patsch:patsch:patsch Have you ever heard of Pernell Whitaker or Larry Holmes??

I doubt it, because if you had then you would understand why Mayweather's name should not be involved here.

watch your favourite fighter calzaghes jabs. one of the best southpaw jabs of all time.

and the jab...the most important punch in boxing, is a punch you dont pay much attention to?
