...because they wouldn't gas at the end of the fight. Those guys couldn't KO hard chin Andrade either. :yep

Enlighten me -- when was the last time Kessler, Froch, Ward or Dirrell beat a world class, quick southpaw that can unleash hooks and uppercuts from hell? You might sit on that one for a long time. I'm not saying Bute has been in the ring with them 4 fighting types, I'm just alluding to styles make fights. Ever since he got his wake up call in the first Andrade fight, Bute has been known to handle pressure fighters better than Kessler - feel free to argue with that.

Again, you make a lot of sense.

Kessler dominated Andrade, but never rocked him hard enough to even think about getting a KD.

Bute dominated Andrade for 11 rounds, gassed, went down, beat the count as per the IBF's championship rules, and was sent back to the gym to work on stamina & power shots. He came back in the second fight even more dominant than he was in the first one, and KO'ed a guy everybody thought was tough as nails... something Kessler never even came close to doing.

How's the weather in Sweden? Must have been disappointing not to get a medal at the World Juniors this year. :deal

    I agree with that.

Kessler gave Andrade a beating that night.

Prime Kessler leaves Bute KTFO. But it's no longer prime Kessler. He's lost a good bit since his heyday. I think Bute being a southpaw with power will be Kessler's undoing, and will catch him with a big shot.

    :lol::good

Bute is so insignificant that I barely remember his name!

Bute beat Librado, but ended a fight on his back, much like Ingemar Johansson ended his last fight on his back, both shouldn't have gone away with the win. So now him taking 16 rounds AND a tune-up to put Librado away is better than Kesslers utter dominance of Librado?

Weather is kind of cold, snowed the other day. Yeah, the world juniors looked promising this year, but unfortunately they lost on a penalty shootout against Russia, the same Russia who beat Canada in regular time.

Arguably, yes. Did Bute lose any of those 16 rounds except the 12th in the first fight? Nope. The kicker here is the body shot that dropped Andrade in the second fight... it's Bute's x-factor. Kessler doesn't have any, his 1-2's are almost genuinely predictable. Bute's power proved a point that night.

And Canada handily beat the Americans who took your guys out. Nice eh?

The only thing Kessler proved is that he was never #1. He was outboxed by Calzaghe, then by Ward and will get KTFO by Bute.

That was a beautiful body shot, Librado has no defense though and was bound to lose by T/KO at some point. He was put down by Yusaf Mack.

Canada handily beat the Americans, the US beat Sweden, but who wants to play for a third place? Half of the Swedes wanted gold or nothing at all. :patsch

Sweden beat both Canada and Russia, and totally dominated Russia in the semifinal, although sometimes you'll lose a game even if you're superior on the ice.

Why wasn't prime Kessler able to get the TKO on Andrade if the guy has such a shitty defence? :think

Come on, you can't say the Swedes didn't try in the bronze medal game, it's not like Americans were proud to fight for bronze... for whatever reason, Russia handles the prime time pressure better than any other team. Cold blooded mother****ers will never give up. It was their year.

Canada-Sweden was a close one. Pretty good game actually.

I spit on him, yet I'd pick him to beat Arthur Abraham. Oh well, I just think Lucian needs to prove himself. And he'll keep fighting the Magee's of the world to prove what exactly?

Spot on, Sweden - Canada would've been a great final.

I could see it going either way. Would like to see it though!

I've seen Kessler stand back and box and I've seen him go to war. He has a good chin and good technique.

Bute does a good job of setting up combos and landing the uppercut, which is a great finishing punch for him.

I think that AA has been exposed and would never get back his invulnaribility 9i'm not sure about this words) aura .

We will get a chance to see Sweden-Canada next year in the final :good

    I believed the Abraham hype.

Can't believe I bought into his invincibility-aura, he had fought NOONE. I'm glad Carl Froch embarrassed him.

I still think picking Kessler wasn't really a dumb move, most people did. Kessler after all, was ****ed over by Mogens Palle and that destroyed his career. The Kessler who fought Calzaghe would've made more than a fight against Andre Ward, I think.
