I like Chris and I like to watch him fight but its clear He's not able to compete with a Klitschko or even Adamek.

What does this guy do next?

He's holding a Regional title from the WBC as the Mexican HW champ. He could possibly pick up a US, North American or Intercontinental title?

If you can't say you were the World titlist, I guess its pretty cool to say that you were the US and Mexican HW Champ simultaneously.

I mean hell, I could be happy with that!

Other fighters out there in the same boat: Helenius, Chisora, Dimitrenko, Tua.

    What do you think?

It's not clear at all. As a matter of fact if he could bring someone to his corner who can show him the importance of conditioning, and also defensive work that Fatboy is already familiar with from over 200 amateur fights. No, he wasn't ready for Vitali because he just ain't ready. But he has a hellava lot more upside than all but 5 guys in the division. Fatboys problem is booze and burritos. Discipline is what this guy needs. It's time to take his Fatass down to Miami and go to the new Dundee gym and learn what a HW is supposed do to become Champion!

Losing weight is the key. He could be a real threat to Haye and Adamek if he were to drop 30-40 lbs. It would make a world of difference for him.

I think his potential has been wasted. Especially with the hand injuries sustained in his couple of fights. Power was his main attribute, and some fighter's aren't the same after they've had surgery...

It's never his best though, is it. His best would be working his arse of in the gym, not be a fat slob during camp and get into tip top shape. Until that happens he's never given his best.

I don't mean to be harsh, but it's the truth

Hes co-trained by Shields now. Well see if he loses some weight on his ESPN new year debut. I just hope he doesn't get use to being on ESPN for long. LOL

by his own admission, he would go down to a mexican restaurant after hitting the gym(even during fight training) and absolutely crush food. he says he can't help it. he could be much more than he is and its all on him. so...i would say we havent seen his best.

A long training camp in the middle of nowhere would certainly help

I was thinking, what he needs is to get in with the Wild Card team.

Does Freddie have any better Heavyweight prospects than Chris? Not that I know of.

With Manny on the way out, Amir coming on strong...a HW would be good for that team.

Can you imagine how dangerous Chris could be if he was in shape like Amir or Manny, was aggressive and spent some time fixing his game with Freddie?

    :patsch

i think if he gets through his next fight unscathed then ronnie sheilds will do wonders with him i still think he has the talent to go all the way he just needs to focus and truly dedicate himself. but i like the fact that he and ramirez have shown that they know they ****ed up and must fix the problem moving to houston for training camp away from all the distractions. sheilds says so far so good

i hope they can keep it up cause the boys got great skills

Can nobody get him in shape but himself.

This is a eat or be eaten type a business, if you don't have the mentality to put the work in, you're not bound to make big money.
