The condition here is that the status of the greats on the fighters resume is irrelevant. As in the greats being past prime, shells of their former selves, etc. Shouldn't be too hard to come up with plenty of names of fighters with great resumes on paper, but looking deeper into them reveals that the wins were over damaged goods, past prime fighters, so on and so forth. Still, going off just the names on their resume, they have "great" resumes. For example, Jack Johnson has a few ATG's on his record but one, Fitzsimmons, was almost 50 years old at the time. Another great on his resume, Jeffries, was a shell of his former self. A great record with numerous ATG's on paper, in reality, a little less great. A win over Sam Langford decorates his resume as well, but over a middleweight version of Sam when he was quite somewhat green. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oliver McCall is a good example of this as well. He has two wins over top ten all time great heavyweights in Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes, though one was pre-prime, and the other light years past his prime.
Can we open it up to include losses too ? Just the guy with the biggest freakin' names on his record, win, lose, or draw !
Holyfield-Foreman, Holmes, Tyson, Bowe, sort-of Lewis, Bowe, Qawi, Mercer, then a whole other host like Moorer, Ruiz, Rahman etc.
Kostya Tszyu = Bramble, Laporte, Roger Mayweather, Julio Cesar Chavez. Looks good on paper but all were well past prime.
