    Why didnt they have it in one of the guys hometowns??

    Alexander is a big draw in Detroit, and Bradley has a big following in the Inland Empire in Southern California


    sigh, another portent of "boxing is a dying sport"

    This just goes to show what a ****ed promoter Gary Shaw is when it comes to choosing an appropriate site and selling a fight. I thought it was dumb putting the bantaamweight tournament in Washington when SoCal was the logical choice but the stupidity behind that decision is minimal compared with this cluster ****! The sooner this dopey, fat **** signs over his stable of fighters to me the better!

    The Silverdome, the problem is its location.....It is somewhat of a distance from Detriot, not a venue that is very popular or utilized. That could have something to do with it. Also take into account that the nearest largest city is Detroit which at this time (unfortunately everywhere else) is in the greatest economical situation......Disposable income is harder to come by....

    Of all the places why this one?..:huh

    There are nicer cities and venues for a Unificiation bout.

    Ticket prices are reasonable. :huh

    I just love the "****ing Americans" comments... This fight is failing because of lack of promotion, plain and simple. It has nothing to do with lack of fan support. These fights need promotion. If the casual area fans don't know when or where the fight is, and aren't aware of when and where to buy tickets.. this is the kind of **** that happens. Blame Gary Shaw and Don King, not me.

    What surprised me about this comment wasn't so much what it said but the fact that you would make it on a boxing forum. :nut

    Boxing is still very much alive, its just not that many people wake up in the morning anymore thinking they want to be boxers.
