Here in the UK I've never known there to be so little interest and media coverage for a British fighter challenging for the Heavyweight championship of the World.

But I guess boxing fans won't want to watch because they know it's a mismatch, while casual fans and the rest of the general public won't watch it because they have no idea who Chisora is, or that the fight is even happening.

 

Chef, I normally like your posts and the insights. But thinking Haye would sign to fight Chisora after shafting Haye is madness, when you consider the **** Haye has gone through after the farce against Harrison.

there is no way in the world he could sell another fight like that straight after the harrison debacle.

As for a "uk championship?". Chisora is on the level of Rogan, Sexton etc. The gap to Haye (and Wlad of course) in terms of class is, well, a canyon.

This fight really is on a par with coming down here to Australia and grabbing somebody like Leapai (no disrespect to him meant) for a world title fight.

 

Do you need to be reminded who he fought BEFORE Harrison? I would love to know on what factual grounds you're making this bold assumption.

but IMO Haye can still make this fight... I see NO REASON a fight cant be made fore november or december against wlad. That gives Haye 8--9 months between fights like he likes and wlad would be available as well. All haye has to do is delay his retirement he keeps talking about and sign for the biggest fight and payday of Hayes life.........

then he can retire on any beach he wants

honestly everyone...i know i'm considered bieased because i do support the k bros but looking at the series of evens over the last 2+ years it has become clear that haye has no plan on following through with his "savior status" or cleaning out the division....he has only cleaned out those who have duckd k bros or those who ar 38-40 and irrelevant to the sport any more...
anyone remember haye saying "i'll fight both klitschko sisters in the same night"?

he's a liar...i wanna see my champ fight and fight often i dont wanna wait for a fight 9 months away that may or may not happen....
beat chisora, adamek, povetkin (if he mans up) boystov, valuev if he comes back from injury, and anyone else who will take a fight...these arent bad fighters just inferior to wlad....HW division is ok...WLad is just exceptional...
