Yeah...me and my wife met Ali here in Louisville quite a few times. And unforunately his brother. Greg Page was a friend of our family but I was way too young to remember him coming over.

I met Ali at some fights and boxing events but never had much conversation or interation with him, but he was always a nice guy.

I was in a few of Tysons training camps throughout his career. Tyson could be nice or a complete grouch or not even show up while everyone was standing around waiting for him.

Tyson in the Mirage Media suite back in 89 when over for the Duran/Leonard III waltz & at the Sands the night before the fight in the Champions bar where Larry Holmes was a warbling (Invites only of course):hey.

We'd spent the early part of the evening at a Max Schmeling tribute dinner with what was my 1st experience of an OPEN BAR:yep We naturaly made pigs of ourselves with bucket loads of Becks & well tanked up headed to the Champions Bar courtesy of a Michigan Promoter who's dad was English.

It was the size of the ****s hands that freaked me out, bunch of ****in banana's. We're the only crowd of white faces in there, went over to Horne & Hollaway who where acting as Mikes outriders & said that we wanted another pic taken & to dish out some scum sucking gushing verballs to him stating our obvious respect & **** munching hero worship....

Mike & Larry were glaring at each other & Mikes got someonelse's slag on each knee & Horne said later later, we said **** off NOW NOW, we we totally crazed & hyped seeing this was our 1st time in the States & we told Horne that we're going over to Mike's table anyway, like it or not, He went to Mike & proberbly said look! there's 5 nuts with weird accents who want to groval at your feet, just press some flesh say high again & hopefully they'll ****in leave us alone................

As Larrys crooning away on the small stage Horne gave us the nod & we bounded over squealing & drooling with ren & stimpy bulging bloodshot eyes with **** eating grins to gurgle our appreiciation. I rubbed mike's brillo pad head from behind & leaned over his shoulder belching fumes into his mug saying that we're from ENGLAND,ENGLAND ENGLAND & we think your the greatest aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, aaaaaaaaarrrrhhhhhhhhhhh ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaarrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhgggggggggggg with much nodding of our heads...................................

He just stared at us mouth open & the pigs on his knee's hissed & glared at us, which got a "**** off you slag" responce from my brummie mate, anyway Horne managed to **** us off rapid while we were still bowing & crawling, hyena howling & yelping & we went back & leant against the bar feeling top o the world & well satisfied & thinking about all the ****ers at home in the rain & cold & here we are in a bar with Tyson & Holmes & have just met & eaten with Max Schmeling & Nigel Benn, it felt like a dream & it was all so ****in real.

I remember staring in Tyson's direction still with my obiedient scychphantic grin on me face & tyson turned to face us at the bar & i got this impression that he wanted to come over & smash the **** out of me:huh:yikes:lol: & we did'nt give a **** A wonderful ****ed up crazed day/night & how much better could it get...............then we got the fight:-( talk about olympian heights & abyssal lows.

Cassius Clay In New York City, when he was fighting Doug Jones.
And then, up at Floyd Patterson training camp in Highland Mills, New York.

Floyd was prepping for the rematch with Sonny Liston, and Cassius Clay came up their
(it was a scheduled media event), so the place was a mob scene.

Met Ali in the parking lot of my work in 92, so he wasn't in the best of shape. Big dude, even then. I was just awestruck. His handlers quickly found him and escorted away.

Was in the same room as Tyson a couple times but didn't really "meet" him.

I met Ali in Croydon,London back in 1992. It was on a book signing tour. As he's my all time hero,it was a real pleasure. Never met Tyson, but saw him once in Oxford Street,London.
