Kathy Duva's comments last night were alarming. Said severall times she has tried to contact Haye's team to make the fight and she never got a response from Booth.
Is haye a real fighter? I dont think so anymore, every 8 months fighting, throwing his toys outa the pram when wlads going to fight a keep busy. going on about his ****ing movie career. Where can he go? Casuals wont PPV another one of his fights until he fights a brother after being stung with harrison. Adamek would have sold on HBO, Poland / ex pats here and been a decent contender. Rob, who can he fight that will make money? or intereset anyone?
funny considering adamek is one of the few legit heavies. comes in shape, comes to fight and generally fights good opponents in interesting fights. adamek should have been on the shortlist a long time, especially since he was a good champ at 175 ad 200.
The Haye-Booth relationship makes it hard to get any negotiations started or finished. Booth is supposed to be doing everything from training to managing. If the fighter and trainer are essentially the promoters then they really need a Schaefer-like go between. In this instance it doesnt help that Booth is an oddball too, and is no surprise they've dropped themselves in the **** again. If Klitschko wanted Haye on July 2nd as well as Chisora first then why not go along with it seeing as there are no viable alternatives, and the WBA would've allowed dispensation. It'd be Klitschko who would then look like a c**t if he then pulled out. If Chisora happened to win then a battle of Britain would be in the offing, providing Chisora isnt tied to Klitschko for half a dozen fights until they win the belt back. Since Haye doesnt seem interested in someone like Adamek either and plans to retire in 9 months, Booth and Haye now just look like a pair of amateur chancers.
Yes I think you're right, he stepped in. I'm sure if he had a stronger hand in these negotiations it wouldn't have ended with Haye coming out of it looking so bad even if they hadn't got a deal. Just a mess now
