Then after the Bugner fight Haye retires for some mysterious reason..claiming that Lyle refused to meet him...and when Lyle offers to meet him alone in a parking lot one night...no one hears from Haye again.

Probably a lot stronger, Haye was getting pushed about at cruiserweight.

Haye doesn't like guys who close down his space and pressure him, if i was Ron i would just close him down apply my strength and then headhunt.

David doesn't have the stamina to go with him punch for punch, he gets K.O early.

Haye outspeeds and outboxes Lyle, I'd probably root for Lyle but I do think Haye is the better boxer. If Haye fights on the backfoot with his jab and right counter, using his radar I don't see Lyle landing too much

Haye would get brutally ko'ed within 2 rounds.

Lyle KO3, if he lets those bombs fly from the opening bell, dragging Haye into a slugfest.

Lets look at these two things; Lyle is an ex con and Haye acts like a coward. Haye...

BTW, I heard he's interested in Vitali/Solis(should be a good fight) winner so if he REALLY wants that then fine, he's no coward. Lyle by ko early especially if it's Lyle at his best.

Lyle never knocked out a ranked contender, to my knowledge.

No real reason to believe he'd start now.

    Haye on points.

  11. AND WHO ****ING HELL DID BEAT HAYE? THE BUNCH OF FAT VALUEV? GRANDFATHER BUM RUIZ? LMAO:lol::lol::lol::rofl:rofl:rofl

RON LYLE DROPPED FOREMAN TWICE, AND HE WAS WINNING ALI ON THE CARDS. HE DID BEAT BONAVENA, EARNIE SHAVERS,GOYO PERALTA,JIMMY ELLIS OR JOE BUGNER. LYLE WOULD ****ING KILL THIS DUMMY. LYLE TODAY WOULD TAKE THE BELT OF HAYE, PLAIN AND SIMPLE

Lyle doesn't take the shot that Haye shook up Valuev with. Although by the same token Haye wouldn't be able to survive what Foreman took against Lyle, the difference is that I don't think Haye would have to. I like Haye inside the distance here but Lyle has about a good shot.

 Jesus, calm down! Do you only start these threads so you can roar at people who disagree with you!?

Lyle never knocked out a ranked contender. Haye has. Lyle wasn't anything like as good as you make him out to be, and losing to Foreman and Ali doesn't prove otherwise. If the notion of Haye beating Lyle is so fantastically ridiculous why have you brought it up?

I'm not confident in my pick; but what I do know is that Lyle, behind some serious George Foreman freaks, has become the most overated fighter on the board. Lyle could beat Haye, but he'd only do it by KO, and he just couldn't knock out ranked fighters.

I believe Haye is in that class, so I pick him.
