Robot, I landed in Ireland in late Jan 2002. The Irish Punt was being converted to the 'Euro Dollar'... well, it was already well established, so I worked with a mob heading out to the banks, on behalf of Securi-Cor, to pick up the now defunct ex-currency.

    Some good times mate.

Well, I think that depends on where you're going.
Some of those places over there are so broke the prime ministers are mugging tourists on the tarmac .

You're supposed to go overseas not to work but to get hammered and run amok. Working there should be something which financially supports the pissing it up. This is the way it used to be when I did my 2+ years of duty in England about 20 years ago and it was the biggest learning experience of my life. Today I'm led to believe a lot of Australians go overseas to make loads of money and send it home. Well.....you're missing the point completely, you utter wankers. Don't bother coming back because you belong elsewhere :good

Robot, take a look on the internet. If you get a work visa for England, you'll be fine. If you're under 30?? Get the visa, make sure you got cash in the bank first. $5000-$7000
