BBC: Adamek Will Sign to Fight Wlad, and Vitali, Should Wlad Be Injured

According to this article Adamek is close to signing a contract to fight Wlad, in September in Poland. However, should Wlad be injured, Adamek will then fight Vitali. He will also agree to a rematch clause. No fuss, no muss. No drama, no twittering, no stupid media conferences/open letters, complaining how life is unfair - Adamek just wants to fight.

I would also like to give a great deal of credit to the Klitchkos, who have basically agreed to come into Adamek's kitchen and make this fight an exceptional event for Polish boxing fans. The atmosphere inside that soccer stadium will be hot, like fire. :fire If you think the Prudential Center is loud wait till you see this fight.

I find it so arrogant of Wlad to be signing ****ing contracts when he's got one on the table with Del Boy. How disrespectful.

 

It's 3.5 hours away from the German border. There is also apparently a sizeable Ukranian population in Wroclaw. Lastly, Boxing has been very popular in Poland and most people know of and respect the Klitchkos. Whether their fans show up in big numbers or not, is kind of besides the point. I can guarantee you this fight will be a raucous sell out. This will be the most meaningful boxing match on Polish soil, bar none.
