Was there any other Heavyweight in his late 30's who was that dominant+active? He is beating up guys 10 years younger than him without losing a round. Its the Klitschkos who make the division look like garbage by completely dismantle their opponents.
I believe it's more like a combination of the 2 factors... The Klits beïng that good, and the opposition beïng sub par and the ones that actually would have a chance to make it a decent fight (while losing) are hiding from them.\ PS There's a 2nd Solis vote! Viva La Sombra :bbb
Vitali Klitschko Height: 6′ 7½″ Weight (lbs): 251 Reach 80″ Record: 41-2 KO Percentage: 88% Odlanier Solis Height: 6′ 1½″ Weight (lbs): 260 Reach: 79" Record: 17-0 KO Percentage: 70% It should be interesting to see Vitali and Solis side by side at the press conference. I don't think Solis is the listed 6′ 1½″, I think he's a little shorter, judging by the pics below. Austin and Solis This content is protected Wlad and Austin This content is protected Vitali & Wlad This content is protected There is a large height difference in this fight. Of course height alone means nothing, many fighters have proven that. However, Vitali is excellent at using his height to his advantage. My prediction: I see Vitali pounding away on Solis from the outside, and winning via KO, or TKO in 7-9 rounds. Very similar to the Arreola fight. I think it's ultimately going to come down to how much punishment Solis can take. Here's Solis against a 280+ pound Welliver. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwV2v1756Gg[/ame] And here's Solis against the great Julius Long (who Samuel Peter, Alexander Ustinov, Audley Harrison, & Tye Fields all KO'd). [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4E0yMfdNEQ[/ame] Solis USED to be good....50 pounds ago he was a good fighter. Right now I believe he's just way too heavy to have any chance at all against the top heavyweights. Perhaps he will get in shape for the fight against Vitali, it's possible, I just don't see it happening.
Numbers are cool but that is what they, are only numbers, boxing like any other sport is what have you done for me latetly, you have posted some of Solis fight clips and I'll do the same I'm Cuban and if Solis doesn't come under 240lbs I'll not watch the fight, he has a great chance of beating VK and any other HW, but in VK case he has to b in tip top shape, VK is an athlete that love to train and is always in great shape, even when he is not training for a fight, hey he love to train so much that I think he was tested positive for steroids back in the day, in any case Solis has to come in shape if he wants to take the belt away from VK, and if he look at the big picture he will do that, after these couple of millions, he could b making dozen of them if he win this fight. Vitali late TKO. With Solis attitude toward boxing in general he is unlikely to endure the punishment for the entire 12.
My God, watching these videos of Solis has me wondering. "WHAT THE FUKK IS HE THINKING GETTING INTO THE SAME RING AS A KLITSCHKO"!!!!!!! I know this is a sport to earn a living, but he's fukking off his rocker if he thinks he's in the same league as Vitali. This kid really needs to hit the gym, fight some better opposition and beat them convincingly before he goes off committing suicide against any of the top 10 fighters in the HW division.
Well, Solis hasn't been under 240 his entire pro career. His lightest is actually 246¾, against Cisse Salif, in which Solis won an 8rd decision. So my guess is that you won't be watching the fight.
