Floyd Mayweather Jr. would've been just as dominant in Sugar Ray Robinson's era

How do you think Floyd's brittle hands would have stood up to 12+ fights a year?

    No way dude, no way.

Pretty Boy Floyd and SSR both have the skills and tools to beat each other, now while saying who would win is another thread entirely, i will say that neither would completely dominate the other because they're both 2 damn good fighters

  4. true, especially if he fought monthly his career would not have lasted long.

Robinson would win 8 times out of 10. Maybe 9.

Like your favourite uncle would say "You don't know **** about boxing"

I care about disrupting your fantasy of floyd being somehow an ATG.

He has yet to prove he is even in the top 100 of ATGs.

you think Sugar wanted to fight 12 a year? hell no but he had to, to support himself and his family

any fighter from todays era would've fought more then 70 fights in there careers

Floyd would have done this, Floyd would have done that. It's all speculation and dreams from fanboys. I hope you all think about him when he is getting his ass reamed in prison.

The mentality was different back then for all fighters. They didn't care about an unblemished record as much

Ray went 41-0 in 3 years, 1940-43. He lost to Lamotta then avenged the defeat several times and didn't loose again until 1951 where he was 128-1-2.

If Floyd fought at that frequency over the same period - there would be a blueprint.
