WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan is not concerned with the recent threats from Breidis Prescott. Back in 2008 he stopped Khan in 54-seconds. The loss forced Khan to shift the inner-workings of his entire career. Prescott on the other hand was never able to build on his shocking win over Khan. He lost two of his last four and the two recent wins were against overmatched opponents. Khan reflects back and thanks Prescott for knocking him out.

"I got my backside kicked that night and it changed everything,’ said Khan to Daily Mail. "Nobody ever told me I was doing anything wrong but, looking back, I was doing a great deal of things wrong, including my diet and the way I lived my life. I thought I was better than I was."

Then Khan moved his camp to Los Angeles and hired trainer Freddie Roach. Last month, Khan had the biggest win of his career with a decision over mandatory challenger Marcos Maidana. Khan doesn't see his career being as successful without the loss to Prescott. He would like to do a rematch but feels Prescott is no longer viewed as a credible opponent.

"A lot of fighters don’t come back from a defeat as heavy as the one Prescott handed out to me. I’m proud that I have and there’s no doubt that the loss was a blessing in disguise," Khan said.
"I’d like to thank Prescott for the lesson he forced me to learn. He did me a huge favor that night. I’d love to fight him again, because I’ve fought every boxer who beat me in my amateur career and avenged each defeat, but he’s slipped off the radar."

Maybe the problem is certain Khan fans and not the BS forum... :think

Khan's right. Just what the **** has Prescott done since September 2008? He'd just knocked out one of the hottest prospects in boxing, and had endless opportunities laid out before him. But what does he do? He goes on to lose 2 of his next 3 fights, and calls Khan out.

As 1 poster said before, Prescott should look for 'revenge' against Kevin Mitchell before even thinking about Khan!

Prescott should try and avenge his losses to Vazquez and Mitchell. If he does that (which he won't) then he can have his re-match.

He doesn't sound like a very good 'Khan fan' to me, Wally.

In General, the BS Forum is absolute rubbish. The Khan hate is just so unjustified. I'd never consider looking at the site if it didn't have good headlines.

There was a recent thread where Khan said in the next 15 months, he'd like to unify the division, move up to 147, fight someone like Mayweather and go up to 154.

    The Comments:

    - This comment was from a guy who worships Maidana :patsch

    - Isn't he fighting the Winner next? :patsch
These are just a few of the many comments. I could post a lot more, but you get the point.

If Prescott had continued winning, facing higher level opponents, keeping his name on people's lips.....Khan would have no choice but to face him.

The boxing scene forum is awful, anyone who isn't a noob would know this.

Prescott is a terrible opponent, but that's never stopped Khan before (Salita anyone?)

So are you. An awful poster with little clue about anything other than one fighter.

Someone had to say something. You can hardly act like other posters (from a different site of course) are in the wrong if you yourself have no f'n clue. Whilst I agree that the above examples are ignorant, racist and completely abhorrent, I wouldn't necessarily say they know less about boxing than Laz.
