thats exactly the type of double standards im talking about.

we go on here lamenting the multi belts 'world champs', slagging the WBA interim and saying (rightfully so) that its the main thing holding back the sport from proper credibilty - then as soon as that came up people were backing it big time?


if it hada been some unknown ghanian coming on saying my world title fight with the WBU everyone would have told him to **** off, and thats a fact

If he had turned round and said "That's not what I said, so I'm not going to apologize" he'd look like an arrogant dickhead.

Saying "sorry, I was misquoted and my comments taken out of context" is hardly saying there is an element of truth to the article...

 

I think the WBU is a joke but the way certain people repeatedly had a go at Limond when he posted on here went waaaaay past the point of getting their opinion across. It got embarrassing some of the melodramatic things that Limond was getting accused off.

Limond was a very, very minor part of the multiple belts problem in boxing but because he posted on here and people had access to him he was being blamed for the whole ****ing system.

Maybe its a simple as attention whoring off a relatively well known figure in the sport.....

Gaz, some of the comments on ESB about almost every boxer are beyond making an opinion. When you've got Rob, Nutjob, White Tiger and others getting so excited, it's no wonder.

No worries mate. I don't want to exaggerate what went on but I used to think "why the hell is Limond bothering to post on here?", it did get that vindictive against him from some quarters.

In all seriousness, it seems to me that Rob is a bit of a scapegoat on here. I disagree with the majority of what he says, but give the man a break.
