If he was mentally scarred, how could he fight and BEAT a better fighter and a bigger puncher? atsch Nothing to see here folks, just a lot of steam and hot air.
It's fairly simple really - like meeting a schoolyard bully again in later life - you have to face up to your demons and Prescott has the advantage of battering Khan senseless before Khan could land anything on him. In Khan's mind there will always be that shard of doubt and that might well affect him mentality unless he faces up to his demons, no matter whom he beats in the meantime. You say Maidana is the better fighter and bigger puncher but Prescott owned Khan to the point where Amir now sends him Father's Day cards every year whereas Maidana went down in round one.
But the difference is maidana wasnt the same guy who kod him in brutal fashion. That makes a big difference. His demon isnt whether he can take a punch its whether he can take prescotts punch. Losses like that dont happen often and when they do not near as brutal. You still new to the sport, or just ****ing stupid.
Prescott isn't a third of the fighter Maidana is. Certainly not worth wasting an entire training camp on just because a keyboard warrior doesn't like Khan atsch
August 1st, 2011 is the what I got from our good friend google, but you're right it'd be cutting it too close. July 16th-ish is more likely.
I'm liking this from Schaefer...Liking it a whole lot. I reckoned the Khan vs. Winner fight would be in the UK though? Wouldn't that generate a lot more money for both guys (provided HBO showed the fight, which of course it would)? Then again, having it over here will greatly increase the exposure of both guys, something which they both need. Good promoting by GBP, I'm thinking they're gonna take over once the devil comes back to collect Big Bob's soul.
Khan wouldn't have any leverage to force the fight in the UK, as the winner of B/A would have two belts and Khan one. A Las Vegas venue would be more appropriate.
Indeed, I'mthinking from a strictly $$ perspective though. They might get 5-10k to attend a fight in vegas if they're lucky, whereas Khan would sell out anywhere in the UK (and Bradley and Alexander have both fought Witter, so they have some exposure there too). With HBO showing the fight, all the PPV viewers would still watch it, the gate would just be wayyy bigger in the UK. I still think the US is a good move though. GBP is working hard to make Khan a star over here. Not sure it'll ever happen, but they're trying...
Probably won't happen on that date. I think that date is reserved for Haye, or the proposed Haye/Klit bout. HBO would never allow it to happen in the UK. They would pay substanciallly less for it. It wouldn't work out. A fight of this magnitude will happen in the U.S Would be great if it did happen in the UK though.
Bradley will wipe him out and make it look easy, khans a good fighter but bradleys more rounded and knows how to adapt and mix it up
