    Ricky beat Kostya to become a World Champion.

    Do you honestly believe the WBU means anything?

    I didn't even know until yesterday that Matt Skelton held the WBU Heavyweight title. Surely by your logic he should have been fighting at bigger venues than the York Hall?

    Silly Billy watched The Fighter and believed it was a real world title cos they said it was in the film. He also hasn't flown since he watched Snakes on a Plane.

    Anyone else remember Stephen Foster writing into Boxing News to say that his son was refusing to buy their publication anymore becuase people kept writing in to take the **** out of his WBU title?

    Well with that logic I assume you dont rate any of the belts?

    As I said earlier its the champion that makes the belt. The WBO still gets stick from some quarters yet there are a lot of very good champions who hold one.

    Yes and how come Hatton didnt carry on being the WBU champ once he beat Kosta if it was a genuine world title? :lol:

    i have to agree here. i know somenone that won the wbu belt and even he joked about it. he used to call it the 'warrens boxing union' belt.
