Winky by wide UD. Not sure how Macklin can win this one.

Against that Georgian. I can't imagine anyone was too impressed.

someone made a good point to me last night. Macklin has just signed a multi fight deal with GBP. They are looking to establish themselves more in the UK. Winky is inactive and wants stupid money for fights, money that isn't even around anymore and he has never been a major attraction.

It could be the case that they are feeding Winky to Macklin.

Ah ffs will ya give over. Fighting on HBO significantly increases his chances of getting a fight with Martinez, Williams or any other big fight stateside. Sturm and Sylvester won't go near Macklin and Pirog is all risk little reward so the best opportunites await him in the U.S. Also, the 12,000 fans weren't all there to see Macklin, it's a bull**** point to make and you know it is.

    I thought Winky had retired????

Anyway, he's been out for too long and in his last two fights, Hopkins and Williams, he looked very ordinary. Macklin by KO.

Macklin has looked less than ordinary in his last two.

A fight with Pirog on a HBO PPV would make ten times more for Macklin than another Magnificent 7 type deal.

surely macklin needs to face barker to prove he is the best in britain, i hate it when fighters dont clean up domestically but bang on a bout the world stage we get alot of them from britain.
at the same time you can be around to long at domestic like murray unfortunately

Not really Macklins fault that the domestic thing hasn't happened. He's hardly likely to turn down a big pay day in USA for Barker.
