I'm not watching Burns-Laryea

I understand your sentiments mate and pretty much agree with you. I will probably watch as it's boxing and it won't be me paying for it so it's not going to matter to much.

It is a joke of a bout and Appleby knows as well as anyone how bad he was and clueless he fought.

If Burns doesn't stop his man then it be embarrassing imo. I think Burns attacks body enough in opening 2 rounds and he will be gone within 4-5 rounds.

It's a really really poor bout....but really not shocked when i see before he was matched against Evensen he was looking at Matt Zegan...who drew against a 3-0 novice if i remember correctly. Warren's gone back to his old ways on this one....but even by his standards he's taking **** bigtime.

Its a joke fight it really is and the fact that he is foreign is the only reason Waren ca pass this off ad a "world" title fight. Imagine if he put Liam Walsh in with him there would be uproar and he would still be a better opponent than Laryea.

I can see why Warren would want to do this after all Burns in a funny way is his "cash cow"at the moment and only world titlist and he is making good money in Scotland but what annoys me is that Sky have accepted this fight how can they claim that they are committed to a better standard of opposition with this being passed as a world title fight what a joke. Sky are the ones in the real position of power if they rejected this fight Warren has nowhere to go they need to stand up to promoters to keep them honest or they will take try and take the ****

Laryea would be a good opponent for Walsh's next commonwealth defence not ****ing Ricky Burns

I just don't know why they don't have more faith in Ricky Burns. Give him a chance, for **** sake. I'm sure he won't mind. It's hurting his image more than anything.

 

Anything less than a dominant stoppage by Burns inside six rounds would be poor.

As bad as Appleby was that night he hurt the bloke in the 2nd and with a bit of intelligence would have had him out of there not long afterwards.

Really Warren ought to be ashamed of himself making this match, it's disgraceful.

i think its a shame also they don't have more faith in Billy. I am confident he could beat Fana. What about a guy like Litzau to who is getting bigged up in the US but is shocking.

 

Laryea would have been a debatable commonwealth defence and evenson would have been a weak european title fight. but this is what warren is like with his champions.
