Recently at a meeting in Cardiff, Peter Werner of Knockout Promotions was sitting with Wladimir Klitschko and they were speaking of his plans. On the question of Adamek, Wlad said that he’s a “rabbit”, he hits and runs, and that he doesn’t like or feel the need to fight with someone who he needs to chase around the ring. Comments?
If thats true (and it doesn't sound like Wlad) its not a valid reason to avoid him. Even if it leads to a dull fight its still a top 5 opponent on his record. Say what you will about the Ibragimov fight, it will be looked back on as one of his better wins in 10 years time
so far nobody corner Adamek and slaughter him yet ... do you think Wlad is faster in his legs than all previous Adamk's opponents to corner him?
Sounds to me like a guy who takes a lot of **** for boring fights, and wants to avoid another Sultan Ibragimov incident.
A 'warm up fight' that caused the negotiations to end as Haye couldn't side-step his mandatory and sign for a unification fight when it could not be absolutely guaranteed on paper that Waldo would still be the titleholder come July 2nd.
