I took that fight on your show with 2 days notice, Grayem Melbourne did you a favour by brining a bus load of amateurs from Albury to fight on the undercard of your pro/am show. I was told it would be a 3 x 1 min round fight, then your ring announcer hits me up in the change room to accept it as a title fight and for the duration of the rounds to be as per normal. Of course i accepted not giving it a second thought, its the worst preformance ive put in, so what? atleast i got in and had a go, did i have a blood nose or black eye? was i bruised? one would think so with the description you give but i didnt have a mark on my pretty face Ben. While we are talking about the past, do you recall our last fight Ben? Why did you spit your mouthguard out and look like you had been eating a water mellon buddie? And just one last question, whos the hardest fight you have had against in the league Mr smart azz. will leave it at that shall we Ben? You say i pulled out against Burrage, but hang on then you also say he had another fight and this is why it didnt go through, i told you id fight Burrage with one hand that the injury wasnt a problem, why did you use this as a platform for saying i droped out against Burrage when it simply wasnt true? I had a busted hand, was willing to get injections etc and still keep the comitment to fight on your card, since Burrage pulled out whats the point of fighting with a busted hand? You even said so yourself Ben but joined the knockers in coming up with bullsht claiming i pulled out. You have to be matched to pull out of a fight Ben. give that one a thought.
Bobby Sin m8 i dont think ill be a convert anytime soon m8, i accept its a small part of boxing history but that doesnt mean i have to like it and or agree with it, its banned in USA, banned in many other countrys and states and for a good reason. I think ill just leave it at that, what one person likes may be diffrent to what others like and for me this just doesnt sit right, it is exactly like a bully Bobby Sin, just take a look at Butter Bean, the guy fights on anger and frustration with very little control, put him in with someone his own weight division and he would have his azz handed to him. You dont see Jeff Fenech fighting in Tents or Kostya Tszyu do you? The tent days are people living in the past and Brophy is exploting boxers and the sport in the process, i can see this even through all the glamor and glitter and belting of his drum, i guess if your stupid enough to do it for the 60$ he offers then good for you, personally if i wanna see clowns having a fight ill go down to the local pub and wait for some drunk to spark up with someone at the Bar and sit back and watch, fark travling half way across the country to become a clown in some guys side show and line his pockets with money! some people dont like the hard honest truth but thats it!
ummm who won that last fight Ty? thats right i did... also had you in a bit of trouble in the second i remember, the ref gave you a standing 8 count . out of our 3 fights i won two the 3rd i dunno was close. but who gives a **** we were just kids, but i went on to turn pro, you did nothing, your claim to fame is having some amatuer fights when yo were a kid, big deal. Im not here to put you down Ty, this post was about Brophys boxing tent untill you got on here mouthin off puttin people down as usual. you need to show some respect to people who fight in he ring ( or tent). if you are saying that you had me spitting my mouth guard out and was knocked around etc well lets see what you can do now tough guy, turn pro, ill set it up, and lets fight again for ol times sake, i promise you the beating of your life, or if weight is an issue come up here and fight me in the tent (or you can fight Blair Wilson if you like) theres no weight divisions up here
tc its part of our ozzie/british/irish culture mate and to most on here it'll be sad to see it go. its been around since the 1700s on british/irish fairgrounds. it was bareknuckle wrestling fighting in fairground booths and the early fights were exhibitions due to fighting being illegal . tent fighting in britian , usa and australia took off when queensbury rules were introduced in the 1860s . still remember the old man throwing me onto the canvas as a 7 year old kid with no fighting experience against a young aboriginal kid. it was in the late 60s mardi gras night in roy bells tent on the banks of the liechhardt and he gave me an absolute flogging in front of 200 odd blokes. 16 oz gloves on kids no one got hurt .

Ben, I remember watching you and Jamie fighting overseas on a KT card years ago and have watched many of your fights in Australia. You are exactly what Aussie fighters are about, step up, have a go and you look like you've had some good success from doing it. Definitely on the upper level of domestic fighters with some International experience, that's something you can tell your grandkids about with pride. I wouldn't even start to try to justify yourself and the tent boxing to Ty, until now I had a smidgen of respect for him but insulting you and the whole tent boxing scene is just ludicrous. Amateur losses when you were kids mean nothing, hell I have a good mate who beat Daniel Geale as a kid twice, he lost his first fight as a Pro and never fought again - and now look at what Gealey has done! Anyone who can't appreciate tent boxing and the institution that it is, well I wouldn't bother trying to explain it..... An awesome doco that one.
I'll say it on record now, if Ty did step up and manage to beat one of the boys in the tent (he can pick any of them!) I'll throw in $500. I am sure we can raise a kitty here, if everyone throws in a $50 we could easily have a grand on the table. How about it Ty, if they are that bad and unskilled, it would be the easiest money you have ever made.

And yes standing 8 counts are given big deal, i wasnt hurt or in trouble you know this, how many times did the ref stop to wipe your nose? must have had your rags that night princess cause it just wouldnt stop. I told you im an old man so why do you keep throwing out challenges? just accept that not everyone will agree with you and that someone might say something you dont like, learn to live with it pal. You're a pathological liar so I'm sure everyone (except for your brokeback buddies, Whipsy & StiffFag) will be more inclined to believe what Ben says. Ben has done a great deal since you two last fought and will actually have a career to talk about with his kids and grandkids. And he beat you more than once and won titles that you couldn't. Interesting story about you vomiting after losing another fight. When was this? Your record is becoming funnier by the minute.
