Ty why are you comparing Tent boxing to professional boxing?

Fred Brophy Tent Boxing is pure and simple entertainment. If you can't understand this stop belittleing it. It is what it is and people from the crowds choose to be a part of it win, lose or draw.....the fights end with a level of respect and the audience love.

Why don't you show a little contrition and simply shut the **** up if you don't like it. Your
inane And irrelevant opinion on an Aussie institution has been head loud and clear....

On the idea of throwing in money to get Ty in the tent.....no ****ing way, I wouldn't give Ty $2 for a bus fair to a job interview if he was begging for if.

He'd never have the guts in get in a tent anyway - so my $50, though available, is pretty safe.

 

Were you paid as an amateur Ty, how much, more than $60 a fight?

Problem (your your problem not anybody eles) solved, the entire Tent Fighting ethos has been based on volunteering and courage.....you can make up your own mind here Ty as to whether or not you want to be a part of it.....but you know what they say, the best qualified people to have a negative opion regarding something are those who have tried it.

What are you talking about here......you appear to be ranting from both sides of the fence, the Tent fighter and the challenger???
The tent fighter is suppposed to fight above the level of the challenger....this will obviously vary and like all fights the intial engaging will be the measuring up period.
Putting on a show is what it is all about..but you struggle with this concept because you are a speaking from a hardened professional fighting point of view aren't you???? Hang on, ever had a pro fight???

I dont get why you would be upset at someone elses views of tent shows that have been outlawed in many countrys and states. Did all these countrys and states have it wrong? are we lead to belive that tent boxing is a safe side show act?

You say not to compare it to proffesional boxing but hang on, wasnt Brophy inducted into the QLD Boxing HOF? I wasnt aware that side show circus act has anything to do with the proffesional boxings HOF?

There is no doctors at these tent fights, no reported injurys, no reported deaths etc, Brophy and his troupe dont want doctors, they dont want ropes etc, all they want to do is put on a show and make money however in doing so it puts the sport back a few hundred years and makes it look like a mugs game.

Why has the HUB of boxing (USA) banned tent shows if they are so great guys? perhaps if you could explain to me the unjust nature in which tent shows have been outlawed and provide some FACTs i might swing over to the other side of the fence.

How much sparring in your life have you done....c'mon champ....how much. Did it ever get heated, maybe sometimes the punches were'nt always pulled, sometimes you got a little excited and followed through. Your trainer let it go a bit just to test either your metal or the other guys.......
How often was a doctor present.....???
A bit dangerous not having a doctor by your standards or do you want to happily continue with your hypocracy regarding getting punched in the head without the presents of the physician.

If your gonna make a song and dance here why dont you show us......again, name one instance in this country (no one gives a **** what happens in the US or any other country) where there has been a death in tent boxing which you lay to claim.

sorry i wasnt aware Brophy was an acredited trainer and put headguards on the boys, thats what we do in training and no doctor is required, unfortunatly Fred goes by his own set of rules with are very unsafe in my view.

The Cowboy, a bloke with claims of 1000 wins in the tents, was given a hand picked opponent for his 1001 fight, its a bit of a farce. The poor bloke as one mention didnt have a bloody clue, but who cares hey, its a nice and easy win for the COWBOY, Yeee Harrrrr!

Im starting a tent of spactics who will travel around the dirt pactches of Australia, i was wondering how much support i would get and how many of you i could put down for fights? hahahaha

Tent fights were outlawed due to litigation and thats all you have to say? Right back at you with the song and dance, if your going to make out its a squeeky clean side show, HOF inductee but shouldnt be treated the same as boxing, farked knows how that one works, then PLEASE explain in DETAIL why many countrys and states have outlawed these shows.

I can go buy several guns over the counter in USA and even buy steroids but i cant have a tent fight thats just some plain old good fun?

I figured that if im able to talk to you spastics without pulling my hair out id be able to run a tent of spastics that none would know the better. Ill even have the Indian, tones better than this Cowboy and this blokes had 2000 Tent fights and will be fighting for his 2001 time fight come fight night. hahahah
