Chinny fighters with a whole lot of heart

Trinidad has been known to hit the deck. Just because fighters get knocked down dosent necessarily mean that they're chinny.

Terry Norris not only had heart but went on to become a HOFer with a "dodgy" chin.

Cotto and Trinidad are not chinny.

 

The man in my avatar(Bernard Dunne), in both of his losses he climbed off the deck twice, and was in the act of rising from a 3rd knockdown against both Martinez and Poonsawat when it was called off. Inbetween the knockdowns in both fights he traded with Martinez and Poonsawat in order to try and turn the fights around, he wasn't just trying to survive.

When he got rocked by Yuri Voronin and was on ***** street for a good minute he showed great heart to stay on his feet. He also showed it in his defining fight against Cordoba, where he got off the deck twice and courageously fought back to turn the fight in his favour. God knows how good he could've been if he held a shot better, because he had the heart of a lion and the skills to match.

 

I think the Dunne thing is down to weight aswell though.

 

Spot on with Norris, he got beat by guys he shouldnt have simply coz he had suspect whiskers but still had an extremely stellar career

Bruno had a good to very good chin, (He took bombs off of Tyson and Lewis and hit the deck once, and look at the clean shots he took off of Bonecrusher). he just did not know what to do when he got hit.

Scrap Iron Ryan always gave it a go, but he had a shocker of a chin.

Pele Reid lacked many things (including a chin), but bravery was not one of them.

Hide showed a decent ticker against Peterson and Bowe, which made his capitulation against Vitali that bit sadder.

Norris could of stopped a whole lot of defeats if he stopped that terrible:scaredas: habit of hitting his opponent on the deck. Three dq defeats and numerous warnings, would suggest Norris was not the sharpest fella. Particularly when you add the crime of going bomb to bomb with Jackson and Brown, with arguably worse chin of a world class fighter in the 90s.

Norris always seemed stupid to me, not brave (at least in the context we are talking, as anyone who steps in the ring is brave).
