If Joe Calzaghe had lost a fight, would you still consider him an ATG?

Ottke and Calzaghe are both ATG locks, don't let the haters fool you with facts, All 34 tried all 34 failed and all 46 tried (including Sugar Pudwill!) and all 46 failed :deal

Is he considered an ATG in the first place? Maybe among the Welsh boxers, he is an ATG. His resume doesn't shout as someone you would consider an ATG. He didn't fight the best out there in their primes.

I personally think Calzaghe's obsession with staying undefeated is what cost him true greatness in his career. Too many nights remaining at home making mickey mouse defences when he could've achieved more with a real risk or three.

If Calzaghe wasn't British, he wouldn't get revered as much as he is. Only thats not to do with how talented he is/was, or how xenophobic Calzaghe fans (Brits) think Americans are, its more to do with how nationalistic Brits are when it comes to supporting, rating their fighters.

The fact is,if Joe fought in america he would of gotten so much **** for not fighting the fights every one wants.

Americans would of had the pressure on Calzaghe after 20plus fights to step up.Just like we do for all fighters with potential to be something in the sport.

I think fighting in the states would have been better off for Joe and his legacy.Depending on what he did of course,if he wins or not fighting consistently with better opponents.Make or break...

It would have depended on what fight he would have lost. For example if he lost his 2 LHW fights it wouldnt erase his great SMW career.

Still he is 46-0 and an undefeated legend
