Smacktalk would be legendary for this fight.

What the **** for??? it's a terribly **** matchup. Mayorga would talk **** endlessly saying how he's going to **** Cotto's mother etc. Cotto would remain fairly silent and in the end we all know Cotto is going to KO Mayorga.

Oscar partly owns HBO Boxing, and will not do have HBO do any favors for Arum.

Ricardo Mayorga: I will prove I am the man in this and you are a woman. I will knock you out in four rounds…hold my belt and polish it for me. I’ll pick it up in March….on March 12th your fans will be wearing black for your wake…I see fear in your eyes…look at your hands they are small and my hands are like a man.

Miguel Cotto: I’m a professional fighter and no one ever wins with their mouth…This will be Mayorga’s last fight… You’re a clown and your whole career is a joke!

The fight is on Showtime. I'm guessing Showtime will have some kind of countdown show like they did prior to the Vargas-Mayorga PPV.

They really should. It would be a ****in shame if they didnt do some sort of lead up for this.

This is one of the few press conferences that I will actually enjoy the **** talk that ensues.

well, since it's a Showtime PPV, its not quite possible for HBO to do a 24/7.
Perhaps Showtime will do a preview.

HBO didn't even bother to pay for this fight. this is the second time that HBO dissed a Cotto fight, the first one was for Cotto-Martirosyan which HBO said was too expensive for $1.5M license fee, a sum they would gladly pay for a Berto fight against a tomato can. Then Arum offered them Cotto-Mayorga which HBO rejected again saying Lou Dibella already booked the TV date. Arum is pissed off saying he's moving his fighters to Showtime and HBO can kiss his ass, the only real promoter's ass left in the business
