Busther mathis was much better than buster mathisjr, marvis frazier was a joke compared with joe, actualy i think that marvis should have fought at cruiser. His best weight was around 200 pounds. He would have fought great fights against qawi and holyfield at cruiser. roy jones jr,floyd mayweather jr
i am not sure... It would not be a pic nic ,holyfield was not the same at cruiser, he was skinny, and marvis was a more solid 200 pounder.
?? Why would you use the name Mundine in this thread anyway?? Anthony has not had a more impressive career than his father.
Frankie Burns and George Barnes. Frankie was the Oz middleweight champ in the 1920's. George was National and Empire W/W Champ on numerous occasions.
Im pretty sure London didn't drink. He wasnt a great boxer but was renowned for his fitness has been a fitness fanatic into his old age and has always kept in great shape
A stretch would be; Bill "Dynamite" Douglas, arguably held a proto-version of the Super Middleweight title (then called the Jr. Light Heavyweight title). However, this title was hardly recognized. I keep thinking it was a "state title" like for NYSAC or something. He's also one of the "best fighters to not win a title". I'd be proud to put him near non-title legends like Bennie Briscoe. James "Buster" Douglas, the man that whipped himself into shape to meet a lagging Tyson and shock the world for one night to earn his spot as an undisputed heavyweight champion. The argument is that Bill had more guts then any champ, but lacked natural skill. James had all the skill in the world, but no guts. Both men were great fighters, however, both are built totally different in terms of mentality & fight style. Writer's Note: I noticed I was beat to the punch in this thread. Either way, this is my answer.
