Right, before I start this is NOT a discussion about Haye's heavyweight career - this is done to death and not the purpose of this thread.

Now - I've seen plenty of Adamek fans saying that Haye didn't unify the Cruiserweight title (he had 3/4 belts) and that he ducked Adamek at cruiser.

I do not understand when he supposedly ducked Adamek at cruiserweight, and I'd like to know when you people feel this is.

My understanding of events is this:

    - Haye won the WBC and WBA cruiser titles in November 2007 by beating Mormeck.

    - Shortly after Haye announced his intention to move to Heavy as he was having trouble making the cruiser limit. However, Frank Warren went all out to set up a domestic unification fight between Haye and Enzo Maccarinelli - Haye agreed to have one last fight at cruiserweight.

    - Haye added the WBO title to his collection by beating Maccarinelli in March 2008. Haye immediately stated that he was moving up to heavyweight.

    - Haye fought Monte Barret at heavyweight in November 2008.

    - One month later, Adamek won the IBF Cruiserweight title from Steve Cunningham in December 2008.

Now, given that timeline, at what point is this duck supposed to have taken place, seeing as Haye had already won three of the cruiserweight titles AND announced his move to heavyweight before Adamek even won his cruiserweight title ELIMINATOR? He's already fought Barret at Heavyweight before Adamek won a title there.

This is what confuses me. I'd appreciate your input.

That's what I'm trying to figure out - according to boxrec Haye had won 3 cruiserweight belts and announced his move to heavyweight before Adamek had even won a title ELIMINATOR at cruiser.

That, too. They just weren't on the same timeline for Haye to have ducked him. Regardless, Haye would have beaten him then, and he definitely destroys him now at heavyweight.

    Adamek's fans didn't said that.
Haye ducked Cunningham at Cruiser, not Adamek. Tomasz was star in CW after Cunningham fight, but Haye at this time was in HW.
    He ducked Adamek in HW!

Erm - read the thread title and my first post again. I clearly asked about how he apparently ducked Adamek.

And why are you so angry?

So you are now the voice of ALL Adamek fans are you?

I was in a thread where several Adamek fans claimed that Haye ducked him at cruiser, hence why I started this thread.

Everybody can say what they want.
Somebody said Wlad ducked Haye, somebody said Haye ducked Wlad:)
Haye didn't ducked Adamek in CW, that true! In early 2008 T.A. won eliminator IBF. He wanted fight for IBF.
For me Haye ducked only Cunningham in CW. He said he's the best in CW and now can move to HW, but he ducked Cunn.
In HW he ducking all Top fighters.

Regarding Cunningham, I don't remember any effort whatsover from USS to get a Haye fight. I'd be interested in reading any articles you have that say a fight was on the table but Haye ducked it. Do you have any?

he didnt duck adamek but haye did take the easiest route against enzo and dodged cunningham even though cunningham was calling him out, you can call that a duck

you have no idea about the haye-enzo situation, that fight was discussed for almost 2 years before it finally happened, it was THE british showdown.

and cunningham beat the **** outta roids boy just to get robbed.

    I don't get that.

Cunningham had one belt (right? :huh) and Maccarinelli had one belt. Enzo was a big name between over here and a fight between the two would have been a massive all British event and a career high pay day (which it turned out to be). Cunningham was a nobody compared too Enzo and brought nothing apart from his belt. Haye chose to delay his move to heavy and take the option that made the most sense - Enzo. This is what boxers do every day.

If Haye would have fought USS then everyone would be saying that he ducked Maccarinelli.
