Which boxer over recent years do you feel has exceeded you personal expectations of them, alternatively name someone who failed your expectations.

For me its Carl Froch, I never thought his lack of speed and limited deffense would get him into world level or let him compete against the elite level, but he deffinately suprised me.

pacquiao. thought at the most he'd be a big draw in lower weight divisions, and fight about as far as lightweight, and be big star among boxing fans. had no idea he'd be this big.

    Froch is a good one.
Pascal also i never thought would hold a title or beat Dawson.
Guerrero i was never really impressed by until recently. The Ghost i mean
Margarito i never expected to beat alot of the WW he did beat.
Maidana i thought was just a typical South American puncher but he proved to be more.

I know he is still in the early part of his career but James DeGale has progressed a lot quicker and proven himself to be a lot better than I thought he was already. In his first few fights I didnt get it at all, thought he was a slapper and would never ever get to world level. But what he did to Paul Smith in only his ninth fight completely made me a believer, and I now think its only a matter of time before he gets to world level, he hasnt technically exceeded my expectations yet but its just a formality imo

Gotta throw Sergio Martinez into this. I always liked dude's style and appreciated him as a boxer, but if you woulda told me he'd kick the snot out of Pavlik & KO Paul Williams with a brutal one-punch, I probably woulda laughed.

Pascal I kinda expected him to do well because he speed and explosiveness.

kendal Holt suprised me as I expected much more from him.
