Well the usual suspects should be thrown in there

    Shavers,
    Foreman,
    Tyson,
    Lewis,
    Liston,
    Ruddock,
    Bruno,
    Bonecrusher Smith,
    Marciano,
    W. Klitschko,

hard to say who the best was.

joe louis maybe isn't a heavy puncher like foreman, but he is THE GREATEST PUNCHER :happy

  3. man i hope you are joking.... ron lyle was harder puncher than james smith hands down any day of the week, ruddock and lyle were close in hitting power.

  4. man.. anyone can see that marciano had big bones, he was not fast, his hitting power was because his heavy bones.

I think Steward only says that because he's with Wlad now, Manny has no trouble saying plenty of bull**** to hype up Wlad.

To me, Wlad hasn't proven his power against quality opponents like Lennox did.

  6. it is not matter, for example prime tyson destroyed bums and average fighters in his 30s like berbick, a lhw spinks in his 30s, a shot holmes, tommas in his 30s, tyson never did prove his power against legends, but still he had great hitting power. And marciano? Who fought marciano? Past prime walcott, past prime charles, shot louis? But still he had great power.... cooney stopped a shot lyle,a shot young, a shot norton... but still he had great hitting power . Honestly i think absolutely wladimir is harder puncher than lewis. the most proved punchers were shavers and foreman.

Earnie Shavers I believe was the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time.
George Foreman being the 2nd hardest hitting. Those are the definite top 2 imo. After that it's all up for grabs.

I can remember two - Jose Ribalta and Rudolf Marin, both first round KO's I think. I'm sure there were other such bums too, partic early on. I'm not too sure, I'm not a big Bruno fan but I do remember he could bang a bit.

Point taken though, most of his wins were clumsy TKO's, he didn't knock men out cold. He was always holding and hitting too. I still say he was a big puncher though, almost all his stoppages came within 3 rounds. If only he could have landed cleaner punches.

As for the big boys it always comes down to Shavers and Foreman.

I could name you another dozen off the top of my head who Bruno knocked out. Maybe i didnt make myself clear. When i said to name 1 fighter, i meant 1 fighter of quality, not the chuck gardners of this world

Again, with respect, how can you tell if he had big bones? Im not saying he hadnt, its just anytime ive heard 'big boned' mentioned, its usually from fat people trying to claim they arent fat. I honestly couldnt look at someone and tell, i wouldnt know what to look for, maybe its just me.

Can anyone confirm if this is a genuine condition, and can a person tell just by looking at someone as Combat has claimed. I think its untrue but what do i know?

  11. you are obviously very wrong... Marciano had solid and heavy structure of bones, like frazier, foreman or liston.
Fat is fat and big boned is big boned.

In terms of raw power, a Lennox Lewis right hand is the tops.
