I don't follow purses that much (insert joke here!!)but I'd be a bit surprised if 3 times McCloskeys last purse is as high as £200k.

Moorser, where did that £10 million figure for Khan come from? Theres not anywhere near that sort of money in this fight.

edit: Sorry Moorser looks like a can't count to 6 zeroes!!! Sorry mate!!

Well he's going to have more PPV sale this time, because it'll be on the right time on SBO. Plus a much bigger gate wherever it is in the UK, than the fight in Vegas. Plus he had to split the last purse more evenly because Maidana was interim champ. I dont think a million is a stretch.

Like everyone else on here, this is pretty much a complete stab in the dark, but I would imagine the maximum amount McCloskey would receive is 100K.

If he wins, he'll be able to command bigger fees in the future.

A win would make him a big draw and he would be looking at much better than 100K for the rest of his career.

If he loses, he's got 100K. A top earner's yearly salary in a maximum of 36 minutes.

I love all this chat about the offer being a joke? I'd take a lot less than 100K to be knocked out by Amir Khan!

What did McCloskey get for his last fight?

Remember peoples, Maidana recieved 550k to Khan's 950k. I imagine the numbers this time round being about the same. So compared to Maidana's 550k, what do you guys think is reasonable for a McCloskey?

I bet McLoskey was paid about 30k for fighting Morrison (which I watched in Thailand! And was not impressed with considering the level of opponent, and Paul had to pull it out of his arse against Lauri too!) so 'almost three times as much' doesn't sound massive.

I think Vasquez and Marquez were only paid about $250k for their SECOND FIGHT!

There ain't always big money in World title fights but considering Khan is literally trying to pick the cheapest guy to look good against (keep busy fight: I.e barely competitive opponent) the guy getting hammered (and once Amir would figure out the Irishmans fairly awkward style I think he would stop him on accumulation between 5-8, it's all about levels) against an opponent far superior to him, well I think the guy should be sufficiently compensated. £100,001 can't be too hard can it?

I can't believe McCloskey got paid just under 70k for the Morrison fight, no way.

I think 200-250k would be more than a fair offer. McCloskey can't complain if he turns that down.

3 times his biggest purse is close to £200,000?!?!

I thought a European title defence bagged the champion about £20,000?

What I wanna know is where do you guys pluck these figures from? Not just talking about this fight but other fights too where you see stuff like:

    £2098798098090 gate revenue

    £2987982379 PPV sales

    £645609 for his manager

    £3450988 tax

    £34567 transport costs

    £6456098 training fees

ESB must be full of boxer's accountants since everyone seems to genuinely love figuring out how much each fighter will make. It's like y'all pop a boner whenever you see some numbers:lol:
