He's not going to America though. And the notion that an American trainer is automatically better than a Brit is bollocks.

Hopkins boxes rings around most of the light-heavys in the world right now.

I believe Bellew is lining up a top trainer and looking at options. Farnell is not better than any trainers I have mentioned and was too much of a mate in my opinion.

I would like to give Bomber Bellew the UTMOST CREDIT for moving.

Hopkins does box rings around most, I agree. Perhaps I was not giving Hopkins enough credit there. He should be the champion in the division.

I do think Bellew has found that Farnell is doing nothing for him any more and he doesn't like where he is going. This is an intelligent fighter who has made a big decision here. I believe he is a very nice guy and doesn't want to hurt Farnells feelings but lets be honest... if Freddy Roach was camped up 45 minutes away from Bellew he would have no problems commuting...

There are only a fair few british coaches that are good (IMO) and Farnell is one of them, shame but good luck to Bellew anyway.

Passionate rant, but you didnt answer my question:

Explain what 'a top American trainer' can do for Bellew in comparison to what is available at home?

I think it is bull**** that fighters have to go over to the US as it is the only way they can improve. Oliver Harrison, Rob McCracken, Gerry Storey, Joe Gallagher, Billy Nelson - all top class trainers.

Edit: and Bomber, Gavin et al have all praised Arnie for being a top upcoming trainer, in their previous comments, so that is good enough for me too.

ITS understandable, your children and family are the most important thing, at the end of the day its a boxing match, why should you neglect your family ties, and how can a man perform to his best, unless he's content at home, lots of people can get fit, but you need mental fitness as well to produce your best in a boxing match.:think:good
