Prescott: Amir is Khan-tucky Fried Chicken!

I think Khan should fight Prescott. He will knock Prescott out, and it will wipe the slate clean.

 

I'm beginning to think that Khan should just take on Prescott, avenge the loss but the haters will then be demanding a best of 3, followed by a best of 5 in the hope that Khan gets sparked again.

Prescott has a slight mental and possible power advantage.

Kats has been stopped at lightweight twice and khan would end it when he wanted as he would just overwhelm him with his speed against a stationary defence negated target.

And that's all Prescott has - a mental advantage. One that won't be as important as everyone is making out, because Khan conquering Maidana, has given himself a huge load of confidence. After a round or two, Khan will begin to think "I went 12 rounds with Maidana, but lost to this guy?", before cruising to a 12 round win.

Katsidis, on the other hand, stopped a Kevin Mitchell who outclassed Prescott by using the exact same tactics Khan would use - boxing and moving. Khan hates fighters who like to get on the inside of him and apply pressure, and that's what Katsidis does. He certainly hits hard enough to hurt Khan, too. Not saying he would beat Khan, but he would give him a more spirited fight than limited Prescott would.

 

Oh give it a rest, khans power is deceptive, he aint no power puncher but he gets your respect.

 

I can't understand why Khan doesn't take this fight, surely the Sky hype machine could go mad over this compared to the McCloskey/Murray fights even if they are British. I am almost sure that the regular viewer won't remember many of his victories but will remember him lying in the corner on another planet. Now Khan comes back to England as a celebrated champion, having conquered the American fans to conquer the only man to have ever beat him <-Sky could dribble that **** to the public all day.

Sure Khan would run him over now but it's an easy fight, it would surely get the most money (except for maybe Ortiz) and it would shut up another section of the Khan hate brigade. He can't think this is anymore of a threat than Maidana, maybe he wants a more pure boxer to work on his defence against a slicker fighter but if he's not giving the fight to Peterson I don't think any of the others come close to giving something Amir that will in anyway prepare him for Bradley/Alexander.

Seems a crazy thing not to take this fight.

 

Of course you obviously dont know as much about boxing as you think, theres a difference between getting knocked out by someone in dramatic fashion and then facing a different big puncher and beating him it takes a different kind of animal to do that, khan has those demons and it is showing in his negotiations and what he has been saying.

He constantly brings up prescott but its not when he is asked about him its randomly as if he is shouting prescott name of first before anyone gets the chance to say it. understand ?in a very defensive manner. its psychological and it is clearly haunting him and im not saying he is a ***** or has no heart cus he has bags of it, but it takes a different animal to get in the ring and put those demons to rest imo.

Katsidis wouldnt get past khans jab, he would mes with him for a couple rounds to get the ring work and take him out when he wants, not by clean ko but corner stoppage.

 

to be fair,he hit maidana with every punch in the book for 12 rounds to the head,dident drop him once,otiz dropped him 3 times,hitting him to the head.
have you ever been hit to the body sparring or in the ring,it ****ing hurts,bad,
hitting to the body hurts a hell of a lot more than to the head,you don't have to punch hard(although some boxers punch a lot harded to the body than head)to hurt to the body,just accurate.
having said that,it was a punch perfect ****ing shot,and most would not of got up from that:thumbsup

 

Khan's in a damned-if-you-do situation at the moment any way he turns, whoever he picks someone else is going to be whining that he's avoiding them.
