    Well not really ... :-(

Gamboa already got rid of Mtagwa in 2 sensational rounds, and we all know what Mtawga almost did to Lopez ! :bbb

Yuriorkis completely outclassed Mtagwa, and then easily KO'ed him in 2 rounds while Lopez badly struggled for his life in 12 rounds ... :verysad

The comparison has already been laid out, but you are right it should be another very good measuring stick! :good

I agree with you. Gamboa and Lopez are 2 very different fighters with their unique styles. Even if Lopez looks better than Gamboa against Salido it will not mean much! :good

Now, if Salido gets Lopez seriously hurt and almost KO'ed ( similar to the Mtagwa fight ) then it will indeed make a serious statement against Lopez! :good

Beat me to it GE. Yes the first fighter we got to compare both Lopez and Gamboa with was Mtagwa.

I don't think Salido deserves a shot at Lopez, that's crap. He coming of a big loss, he needs to go to the back of the line and work his back up to contention. there are plenty other fighter in this deep division more worthy of a shot at Lopez.

Lopez should be able to outbox Salido with few difficulties.

Yeah you're right. I forgot all about the Mtagwa fight. Hey but I'll still take the fight.

What about Rojas, John, Billy Dib, Cruz? I'm not sure if Hasegawa and Gonzalez are fighting each other but both are more deserving at a fight with Lopez than Salido is.

The fight was at 126 vs lopez 122lbs, Mtagwa came at 122lbs in that fight vs 126 lbs big Gamboa. Mtagwa was took a beating too in the lopez fight.

I think it makes no sense, cuz remember Gamboa looked much better against Mtagwa, than JML. Only fight between them both can say who's the best featherweight. Shame on Arum, we have to wait so long for that. It shoulda been already made..

    greetings man,

    Buenos tardes mi amigo !

It's always very pleasant to see you here. :good

I think that Salido can present some problems for Lopez, after all, Mtagwa wasn't supposed to and look at what he almost did! And Salido is much better, and has a better chin than Mtagwa!

    Very interesting ... :hey

I am sorry, 4 pounds doesn't make any difference. If Mtagwa came in weighing 135lbs against Gamboa that night, Yuriorkis still would had woop him, no doubt about that! The difference is Gamboa's speed and power, not in the weight!!! :scaredas:

    Que hay Compay? Likewise.

Yeah Lopez did look bad, but in his defense, it could of been the weight issue because right after that fight Lopez went up in weight. Correct me if I'm wrong but Gamboa didn't fight Mtagwa at the same weight Lopez fought him in. right? You weight makes a big differance in these wightclasses.

I do agree Salido is better than Mtagwa, but he took some halacious shots from Gamboa, including the one when he was down. So he might be softened up.

I'll put it to you like this, Lopez should easily beat Salido. But if he struggles in a competitive fight. It will not be a good sign and Gamboa will be favored in their mega bout.

No brother, 4 pounds is crucial in these weights even in the welters. that has been Freddy Roaches weapon in his catchweight fights to dibilitate Mannys opponents. But yes Gamboa speed and power was the bigger differance. :good

Wish I had the clout to be making offers. I hear ya, I just don't think Salido is deserving of that fight when there are much better names and fights more worthy of this title shot.
